Name: William Blue
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Occupation: Olympic Equestrian Athlete
Personality: Will was born in an environment where he was allowed to express his emotions and follow his passions. Because of this, he is a charming, emotionally intelligent young man with an amusing sense of humor. He is very polished and well-mannered, though he can have a flair for the dramatics at times. He tends to be fairly giving, social, and protective of his many friends.
Appearance: Will has inherited his father's lighter hair, which is a dark blonde color and somewhat fluffy. He also has his mother's expressive facial features, including her nearly tan eye color and long eyelashes. He is tall and lean, standing at around 6'2 with a muscular build from years of training and competing in eventing. Will is often seen wearing equestrian gear, but when he does dress up he takes after his mother's fashion sense, always looking sharp and put-together.
Background: Will grew up on his parents' famous equestrian center in the mountains of Germany. His mother was a British-German Olympic figure skater turned eventer, and his father was a British Olympic eventer. They met in the United States at a farm they both worked for, and moved to Germany to start their own business when his grandfather died. Being raised on the farm, Will quickly developed an appreciation for horses and developed his skills in eventing as he aged. At a fairly young age, he moved to the UK with his mom, who continued to support him as he grew rapidly in the equestrian world and landed significant roles on different teams. Having now been to two Olympic games, Will is a very well-known individual by virtually anyone. He has moved to the ranch to lay low and recover after sustaining an injury that has left him unable to walk.
Skills: Will is extremely good at staying cool under pressure, and his down-to-earth personality makes him extremely excellent at engaging with others. He has a natural charisma about him that makes him prime for speeches, formal outings, and petitions for things such as money and resources. He's also got excellent emotional intelligence and a very kind heart.
Interests: Will is intrigued by fashion and other areas within the arts. He's been known to do some modeling and also thoroughly enjoys things such as language and culture.
Strengths: Emotional intelligence and charm are two of Will's greatest strengths. He's very good at interacting with others, to the point where he may even be considered manipulative. He can get nearly anyone to do anything for him, and he has tremendously good health.
Weaknesses: Will is bad at setting boundaries with others, and he struggles with being a bit of an airhead sometimes. He's been known to leave a horse gate or a latch undone from time to time, and he tends to be fairly clumsy.
Relationships: Will has had a few high-profile relationships in the past, but none with other equestrians. He's mainly dated very attractive actresses who have been quite dramatic and controversial, though he's maintained his kindhearted nature. He's been single for a few months, but his PR team is pushing for him to get into something new soon to make up for his lack of successes and media presence as of late.
Reputation: Will has a fairly flawless reputation, and many young women have massive crushes on him. Because of his ex-girlfriends, he's crossed borders into the mainstream media and has developed a reputation as a boy-next-door type. He's known to be very sweet and perhaps even to choose girls who are undeserving of him.

Name: Maria Bright

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Occupation: Yard Manager

Appearance:

Maria has a classically feminine appearance. Slender with narrow shoulders, and a slight curve through her hips, waist, and shoulders. Although petite, she has a fair bit of muscle definition on her torso. She has a slightly longer leg-to-torso ratio, so while she stands at roughly 5'5, from a distance she would look a fair bit taller.

Her olive skin is lightly tanned and littered with light freckles up her arms and clump around her shoulders. Despite this, the freckles on her face aren’t so out there, only really showing up around her nose, though they are still very much still there and become more prominent when the weather warms up.

She has large, dark blue eyes, a small nose, and an oval face, all of which give her a strange, child-like innocence. Her skin isn't flawless, as she has a small scar-like dent just on her eyelid from smashing her head on a table edge as a small child.

Her hair is a dark brown; though, it seems to have been sun-bleached throughout the years, giving her a slightly more auburn tinge to it when in the sun. It reaches just past the bottom of her shoulder blades, coming down in thick, slightly more wavy locks.

Her overall appearance matches her voice perfectly. Light, slightly more high-pitch, though not so much as to be annoying. Her accent is refined and tweaked, so that while it matches her elegant features, it comes out as polite yet perfectly confident.

Personality:

If you were to catch her off guard, some would describe Lara as... Rude? Arrogant? Or maybe even untrustworthy? Well, whatever you'd choose to call her, she would always describe herself as honest. She could admit she can hold a grudge and has the full potential to be malicious.

Despite this, underneath all that asshattery, she would fight to the end of the earth to look out for her closest acquaintances. She just refuses to hand out her trust like it's nothing.

Now, she isn't anti-social. In fact, she quite enjoys social gatherings, and finds it relatively easy to come off as charming and polite, though, this only seems to happen when she wants either something or someone’s alliance.

In fact, this is what her friends would describe her as. Bubbly even. Though, to get this side of her to come out takes time and patience, so most just settle for her forwardness.

Marias whole personality had been drilled into her as a young child. She had been raised on the motto, "Trust no one, not unless they give you a reason to," So it's easy to see where this side of her comes from. You couldn't consider this a bad quality of hers though, as if something needs doing, she will always have it sorted.

Weaknesses: She likes to take things into her own hands (if you need something done right, you have to do it yourself, right?) Once she gets attached to people, it's awfully hard for her to bid them goodbye.

Strengths: Is confident and can catch people's attention. She gives off a commanding aura, so she can often be misread as bossy from time to time.

Other: In rp!

(Hope this is alright - If you want me to edit anything, thats totally fine :))

William Blue | Eventer | M: Eleni, Maria

Despite the unbecoming cold that he’d woken up to in his flat in London, William Blue wheeled himself off the plane in Athens to warm spring temperatures and a delightfully clear sky. Though there was something lonely about the occasion, he still asked himself why in the world he hadn’t decided to live in Greece sooner. Deep down, he knew the answer, but it was still a thought worth pondering to someone who had spent so much time in thought over the last few months. There wasn’t much else to do other than think and hope for the best with his physical condition. He’d done a lot of both.

Regardless, he was happy to be back in a place that was surrounded by horses. After the accident had occurred, Will’s mom had transported his horses back to their farm in Germany in order to ensure that he focused on his recovery rather than riding. He wasn’t supposed to fly while there was still a heightened risk of paralysis in his lower extremities, and besides that, he had maintained an inability to walk. Beyond the underlying issues with his spine from a hiking accident a few years prior, the fact remained that Will had to fracture several places along his leg including his tibia and fibula. In addition to the fractures, he had dislocated his ankle. There was no hope for any sort of walking, at least for the first six to eight months.

Due to his perpetual state of boredom and extreme inability to be alone for any period of time, Will had made arrangements with a connection of his mother’s to move to Greece for the remainder of his recovery process. The woman who owned the farm had been like the grandmother he never had growing up, and he had been devastated to hear that her health was failing. According to his mother, only a few staff members had remained loyal to her and still worked at the farm despite the lack of income it was producing. If she didn’t turn it around soon, Emily was convinced that Eleni would have to sell the place, and she didn’t want to. It was an easy trade-off to leave Will as her grantor in her dynameis epivolis in exchange for allowing him residency at the farm for as long as he desired. Though she did not have all of her mental capabilities anymore, she was still quite convinced that, of all people, Will would know what to do and how to do it when the time came. This didn’t prevent the other staff members from having their own doubts about what seemed to them like hasty and misplaced trust, and the young man wasn’t necessarily shocked at the kind of treatment he received when he arrived.

Still, he put on a brave face as he ventured down the property, wheeling himself in his wheelchair as he exited the taxi he’d taken from the airport in Athens to the rural farmland in Attica. He stopped for a moment to have a look around, perhaps pacing himself for another long day of pushing himself across fairly large distances. Having spent the last six months on bedrest, his arms were not as strong as they used to be, and he was having a fair amount of difficulty maneuvering such difficult situations. Still, the beauty of the farm was enough to make him forget the ache in his limbs for a moment or two, especially in such beautiful Mediterranean weather. Everything was just as he remembered it, though several of the buildings seemed to be in a state of disrepair. The olive trees stretched over the property in a way that was pleasing to the eye, and the rolling hills faded into cityscapes and mountains in the distance. He was very much looking forward to participating in some self-destructive behaviors while he was just outside Athens, though he knew he couldn’t push his luck with the press. Between the riding accident and his latest string of ex-girlfriends, the media certainly kept his name in mind. Whether he wanted it to or not. Coming to Greece was supposed to protect him from the general public, not expose him to it further.

As he finally reached the main house, he greeted Eleni before retiring to the section of the guest house he was allotted. He was warned that there would be others living in the house with him, but that he could do whatever he pleased in his section of the building. To his surprise, it was already quartered off in a way that hardly made sense to him. It wasn’t much of a house at all on the inside, just a string of apartments with a shared kitchen and living space on the bottom floor. On the other side of the hall he noticed a name on the door that read ‘Maria’ in lettering he could read, a novelty in the foreign country he was residing in. Curiously, he considered whether he’d ever catch a glimpse of this mysterious woman, though it didn’t make much of a difference to him. Like many of the staff, he was convinced that she was a middle-aged woman with minimal interest in any of the things he enjoyed. Feeling jetlagged from his flight, Will entered his quarters and shut the door, wheeling his way to the bed with the backpack he’d hauled with him on the flight. The remainder of his luggage would arrive later in the week with his medical team, whom his mother had imported from all over the world.

Maria Bright | Manager | M : William, Eleni

The scorching morning sun of eastern Greece, Maria Bright would work tirelessly to run the not so bustling farm for the elderly owner, of whom she was yet to converse fully with. She was given a brief lecture months ago, that they were not to allow additional workers about them. They were not to allow tress passers, she was not to allow too many loud gatherings. That would have been an issue, if she was too concerned about the party scene. The ruckus that came with them weren't much to her liking. An old soul, you might say; if she wasn't so completely and utterly driven.

There was but one more worker on the ever shrinking farm, and he must have been about as young as Eleni herself. There was a time, not long ago, that it had been a busy and bustling clime, with rooms filled and acres and acres of land. However, in the years passed, those very same rooms had emptied, acre by acre had been sold, along with the animals and clients that had once had so much trust in the settlement. The care and love that had once been put into the now miniature farm had diminished to an occasional painting of the old house that the two workers resided in.

Maria did what she could to the old place, to freshen it up and make sure it was swept to perfection morning by morning, the olive trees would be trimmed and stable doors would be repainted once a year. Every residing animal would look no different to any kind of shown royal after what seemed like endless hours, no help to the hand, Eugene, who simply hadn't been laid off due to being old friends with the elderly owner. There were only a few people that had come and gone, but the young woman found that she didn't particularly care about any of these things. She had her schedule, her routine. She could do everything the way she saw fit, without the interference of lazy 'workers'.

Despite all of this, she was grateful to find that her boss had allowed yet one more person to step foot on the yard. Having been hired here at the young age of nine-teen, Mari had a clear idea of what the day should look like day by day. She had a list of chores and plans, so she could pawn the simple ones off on the newbie. She didn't care too much. She'd been pre-warned that they were currently in a wheelchair, and she wasn't sure how limited that would make them, but she was more than happy to give them little jobs. She also wasn't sure if they were actually here to work at all, or if it was just to relax and heal from whatever had happened, of which she wasn't quite sure about, but she wasn't overly bothered. She could continue to work either way, and just make small improvisations if it was overly important.

The farm itself was built up by two small barns, of course the house and a selection of relatively large and well maintained fields. There was a little round pen, along with a larger outdoor arena. The olive trees adorned the road up to the estate, with daisy covered grass and a small round about leading to the house. It was pretty, however, at some point it had been simply gorgeous. Paint chipped off the higher parts of the two barns, and the once beautifully smoothed out road was now filled with potholes and stagnant puddles that the scorching weather was yet to draw up. The decent dosing of rain was enough to keep the plants green and healthy, however it also fed the weeds that Maria worked tirelessly fight down, the ones that one woman couldn't afford to stretch herself for. That wasn't to say that she would not try, for it seemed that she was forever trying to keep the place looking pristine and perfectly cared for. The hand was often sent to pull the ivy from the walls, or clear the ragwort from the fields and overgrown bush that gripped onto the white railing every few months.

Although there was not more than twelve stables filled, it seemed like there was an awful lot of work to be done. Maria woke at six in the morning, and often didn't make it back to her housing until about eight in the evening. Technically, she didn't have to work such heinous hours, however, Maria liked to have everything perfect on the odd chance they'd have someone snoop about. If the owner had a random checkup, then she wouldn't have to rush every morning to clear up the mess she'd made the day prior.

Like this fine morning, for example. It wasn't simply a normal day. They had a new arrival, and the woman was sure to make them comfortable. A bed had been made and toiletries had been laid out in the bathrooms to assure their guest had been welcomed. This meant more than an early waking, and of course regular chores went on in the estate.

Much to the young woman's disappointment, their guest, who she was told went by William Blue, had not arrived until later in the evening, so she would not see the gratitude for the efforts, if there would have been any at all anyway. Food had been ordered to the house by the owner, as both a thank you and a welcome to the two residents, as the hand had a family to reside with. Maria was more than thankful for this, so when she heard banging on the front door to deliver the small feast filled with light and traditionally Greek meat skewers and the most wonderful looking feta and olive salad, she found that the almost sprint she made from her 'apartment' to the door rattled the old house until she finally made it, more than thrilled to set everything out. She may have to deliver the food to the door of the new resident, as she wasn't sure if he had gotten the message, or if he was comfortable coming out to meet anyone new just yet.

Will | Eventer | M: Open

A few hours later, William awoke to movement in the house. He hadn’t even realized he had fallen asleep until he woke up in the bed, facing the window that overlooked the more established section of property. It wasn’t dusk yet, but evening appeared to be approaching quite quickly if the position of the sun was any indication. The entire property appeared to be bathed in a golden glow that was equally entrancing and completely unfamiliar to a young man who had only ever lived in frigid, wet climates. The subjective concept of good weather was something that completely went over his head.

Though he felt a bit standoffish and self-conscious in the situation he was in, Will knew better than anyone that he was going to have to depend on those around him to survive. Eventually, he’d have to get to know the people here for a variety of reasons. He didn’t speak Greek, he couldn’t get around on his own, and he was barely capable of reading, writing, or computing anything. He’d gone to specialists for his entire life and hadn’t seemed to improve much, so he often relied on those around him to help him understand things that were not spoken to him or able to be visually perceived. To make matters worse, the companion that typically relieved the majority of his stress through his incredible talents had fallen ill a few days prior to their arrival in Greece, and Will was not only worried about him, but hadn’t the slightest clue when he would arrive. Alex was Will’s glue for a variety of reasons, primarily because he was strong in all the areas the blond was weak and vice versa. Though he wasn’t much for words, Alex was extremely intellectual and had acquired an expansive collection of skills throughout his life including languages, cultures, equestrian knowledge, and multiple degrees in psychology and psych-adjacent fields. He typically acted as not only an interpreter for Will, but also a friend he could rely on. In fact, this was the first time the pair had been separated in seven years or more.

Working to maneuver himself out of bed, Will grimaced any time his leg bumped something in an unexpected manner. He still wasn’t allowed to bear weight on it, and the most difficult time for him to manage that always seemed to be getting in and out of bed. The rest of the time, he could stay perfectly protected in his wheelchair or a chair, but any form of movement still brought him immense pain. For his own good, he’d stopped taking many of the pain medications he’d been given when the accident first happened, though his mother had convinced him to put in a prescription somewhere in Greece for medications in case he needed them. Though he’d initially been quite against the concept of taking them again, he was beginning to believe that he’d need them more than he initially thought, especially after the excruciating pain he’d experienced during his plane ride. Decidedly, maybe he was feeling a bit social after all, especially if it meant that he might be able to charm someone into driving him to whatever high-end pharmacy his mom had gone to the ends of the earth to find in order to get him his medication. He still wasn’t entirely convinced he wanted to take it, but his anxiety about it had determined for him that he was entirely convinced he wanted it in his possession.

As he went to lift himself out of the bed and into the wheelchair, he misjudged the distance and fell only halfway into the seat, extending his fractured leg and immediately drawing in a breath as he fell to the floor with a large thud. Though he hadn’t dramatically injured himself in any particular way due to the gentle nature of the fall and the close proximity he had already been to the ground, he certainly hadn’t emerged unscathed. Despite the few scratches from places his arms had made contact with the sharper metal edges of the wheelchair, the severe pain that was radiating from his leg was far more excruciating than a tiny bit of blood. As he laid on the floor hoping that someone would find it within themselves to check on him after hearing the noise, he continued to repeat a list of facts about marine biology by alphabetical order. This was a habit he had formed as a coping mechanism for himself, especially in times of severe stress or pain. Seeing as this was one of those times, Will decided he was going to need that medication more than he initially thought.

Maria Bright | Manager | M : William

Maria, when she had been young, had at some point attended a boarding school. She recalled hating those years, the constant back and fourthing between her home town in Patras to Thessaloniki and the complete and utter lack of control she had in her youth had been horrendous and crippling at the time. Perhaps that was why she enjoyed her position here so much; not only was it adoringly beautiful, and of course working with about the only creatures that would put up with her. She had control here; things were done a certain way, and of course, they were done her way. The right way.

There was but one thing here that reminded her of that god forsaken youth. It was not the lack of things to do, and it was not that she was trapped here, because that was not the case. She could in theory leave whenever she so felt like it, and she was never out of things to do or achieve. That one thing, though, would be the awful building they as workers and guests could reside in. Again, this was not forced, but it would be preferred by most of the people staying that it would be updated. She didn't mind the cold that came with it, or wind that occasionally rattled the old window frame, but rather the thin walls. She could hear full conversations from down the stairs, and every step seemed to rattle the entire frame of the house. However, she could live with it. She only resided here to eat and get herself to sleep.

Mari soon finished her small meal, and had readied a thankful text to the barn owner, he hadn't had to order food for them. She took it their new guest had something to do with it, though. She was yet to meet this William, but she took it that he may not emerge from the safety of his room until the next day. She hadn't when she'd first arrived. She briefly wonder what kind of horrific accident could cause someone so much pain... to have them delicate and in a wheel chair the way this man was. She assumed he were to be old. He must have tripped and fallen down a curb or something similar to that. She couldn't think of an incident that would put someone in their prime into such and unfortunate position. She didn't want to think of it, for with her luck she'd be the next person it'd happen to. Perhaps this old man had lost his pride due to the accident. Perhaps that was why he had come out here, to the middle of nowhere, to hide until he was brave enough again. Well, that was fine. She knew better than most what it was like to have your confidence stripped away from you.

The young woman pattered around the kitchen, packing away the remainder of the unwanted food into the small plastic tubs that had come with the food. She'd made sure they were all coordinated, so that the same foods were in the same boxes. Well, she'd done that with all but one. The last one just had a bit of everything in it, as she had every intention to hand it to the new comer. She was not yet sure if he had eaten, so the least she could do was introduce herself and offer some food to the man. It might make him less intimidated by the idea of coming out to more people, if that happened to be the issue, and she sincerely hoped he would come out.

She had been practicing English since she was little. Her father had been American, however she only really picked up on the extra language around the age of four. She studied it until the age of fifteen, but miraculously she still remembered a portion of it. She was truly thrilled to practice her old pass time with someone who was fluent in the language. If he'd let her, of course. He was British, far as she was aware, which was absolutely exciting to her.

Maria made sure to clean up the kitchen once she shoved the food into the fridge, a twinge of a smile across her face as the golden light washed over the space around her. She wasn't sure if she'd ever get over the sheer beauty of the place that she lived and worked... she'd have to get bored of it at some point though.

Once decidedly finished with her cleaning, the young madam took the box along with some cutlery to hand over to their guest. She was leisurely, a bit of as swing in her step as she practiced her classically British greetings... though, Maria soon picked up the pace when she heard a rather large thump coming from the room. She wasn't too worried, but worried enough to speed up a little bit. She was not aware exactly of how disabled this person was, but she didn't want to leave him be if something was wrong. She tapped her knuckles on the door after a few moments. "Mr Blue?" Despite all of her readying for more of an informal greeting, all the woman could do was talk as though this person was a client. He was, to some extent, as she'd taken it upon herself to ensure the comfort of the people staying here. She did hope everything was well in there, because she couldn't afford any slip ups so early into someone's stay.
