she's probably good yeah, it may depend on the horse (I haven't done a whole lot of experimenting with it) but I figure that's what the "enter and see what happens" YOLO stage is for. if they get a good result, awesome! if they're just outside the money, they might need another week

And premium ...could score 7-5 place wise maybe. I do normally enter ones like that *shrugs*

So because she has a bar higher in a couple of her dressage traits but is low in one would you show her? Or wait until shes trained more?

luna - oh noooo :O that's so interesting though, I know some people do SD training on some horses until they max out and then swap, I find I'm more of an AD "show each type when they're in the money" kinda player I think lol

issy - right! :D

Lol most of mine are on the bm and then I switch the rest after those show in the beginning of the week and the last ones will show in the end of the week but I forgot to feed them this morning and by the time I remembered It was too late and she entered shows already
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:41:56 Gladius
yeah luna totally, I only have 200ish and I chucked most of them on the barn manager for when I can't be bothered or miss entering shows x-x

Ah, yeah I dont understand that side of it. If I lose money for that horse Ill train them a bit more. But having roughly 1k horses to hand enter right now. Ill take the loss as long as Im making som profit

09:38:39 Gladius
it's just an extra indicator for me, mostly because someone had made a showing spreadsheet an dI got the pattern of placing indicating how ready they may be. because sometimes when they get the fresh bars, they still don't place well because they haven't had rl time in the level. seems to help
Painted Perfection
09:37:08 Luna
I dont check places or dates. I just train them and show them until they level up in that discipline and then train again until they have enough bars in the new level then enter again

tracking the training does help to an extent too because then I know how long they've had that training, or since they leveled up (kinda). but I tend not to fuss that bit. I could probably optimize more but -shrug-
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:35:24 Gladius
*haven't had a show in the last month
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:35:04 Gladius
oh totally that's how I start--check all their bars, compare to level (I just use the easy show enter drop down to see the level) then if they've shown in the last month pop them in a show to have that date on the show page and what place they got, then adjust
Painted Perfection
09:33:59 Luna
The bar method is easy because I can look at their level and then look at the bars and be like..oh this horse is lacking a bar in mv so I cant enter dressage yet. But they have enough for jumping so I can put them in a jumping show instead. Etc.
Gaelic Gladiacres
09:33:29 Gladius
yeaaaah it can definitely use some improvement. clicking the button to get the bars but having to click out before selecting anything else gets old x-x just let me float it or it disappears on click on another element, that'd be a huge QOL upgrade I think
Painted Perfection
09:32:23 Luna
Thats why I do the bar method because the easy show enter page.. I need visuals for all of the numbers. I cant look at dates and stuff and know when to enter again after theyve had to train. I get confused.

luna - hugely valid yeah

Name: Martin Riggs
-
Age: 18
-
Gender: Male
-
Height: 5'10
-
Weight: 160 pounds
-
Appearance: Martin is thin and lean, but with a lot of muscle. He had very light icy blue eyes that have a slightly wild look to them. His hair is about shoulder length in the back, and kind of curly, a light brown color. He has a charming, dazzling smile that is very white. Martin usually wears a red button up long sleeve shirt, and light or dark blue jeans with a black belt. He has a scar across his right cheek, maybe 4 inches long. Martin has a roguish, handsome look about him... and his eyes are always sparkling mischiviously
-
Personality: Martin is a bit crazy, but he is very funny too. He has a quick temper, and loves to prank people. When he gets that crazy glint in his eye you know he is going to do something stupid
-
Background: Martin loves the outdoors, and hunts, fishes, and climbs. He has a couple scars from various occasions where he did something stupid outside, though no one knows where the scar on his cheek came from.
-
Other: Anything you want me to add

Okay, I'll make my character sheet. Quick question... I was wondering if you would rather have my character be quiet, subdued, and hard to talk to, crazy, super humorous, and loud with a temper, or other. I can design a new one for this rp, but those two others are the ones i have right now
