Tyler strode out of the woods and over to small dirt road, obviously abandoned. He was going to go for a walk when he realized there was something white laying on the ground. He picked it up, examing it. "A letter... with fancy handwriting... and the kings seal. Whoopee." He muttered under his breath, glancing around before opening it. Tyler skimmed over the words, his eyes widening. "An order... to come to the kings palace... and be a knight? REALLY?" He sounded exasperated. Tyler huffed a breath and stalked back to his small cabin. He threw what he needed in a bag and mounted his horse, cantering off. This would be a long day.

Sitting at the large, ornamental table, covered in food and drink, Ivie was almost asleep from her father droning on at the head. However, she needed breakfast, and today was a rather important day, as some of her flowers were supposed to germinate overnight. I wonder how many germinated? Maybe they all did... Maybe none of them did...? She was lost in thought, hardly listening to her father speak. A couple of minutes passed, and then her father attempted to get her attention. "Dear..." He drawled. "I've commissioned a knight to look after you for the rest of the year, as I am off to supervise and travel. Meet him and welcome him in a few minutes. " With a nod of her head, Ivie got up from the table.

Tyler cantered his horse to the castle, entering the courtyard. He had on simple black bootcut jeans, a tight fitting black t shirt, a loose not buttoned leather jacket, black cargo boots... and a glare that could burn through metal. He dismounted and let the horse to the stables, untacking and brushing it before walking to the courtyard and wondering what the princess would be like. Tyler clenched his jaw a moment and thought about why the king woud choose him... if anything he was not like a knight and more like an assasin. He glanced around the castle walls before crossing his arms and waiting. Edited at May 9, 2023 01:36 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Walking along the hallow and empty alls, Ivie fetched a couple of servants, along with her squire, Alfred. "Alfred! Accompany me to the door, please. We have a guest." Walking into her neat, large, elegant room, she slipped on a small, pinky-purple dress- well more like a cloak really, and made her way towards the door. Soon they were there, and Albert swung open the large door and revealed a black-clothed man, wearing leather. With some surprise, Albert started introducing the princess. "Sir, this is Princess Ivie Colman-Chauncey, out of King James of Colman Chauncey IV, out of Edward Chauncey the Great." Ivie took a short bow.

Tyler looked up, his dark eyes stormy in the bright light. When he saw the princess his heart immedietely fell. -Please tell me she's not another stuck up petty little girl that always wants her way and has a high-pitched voice...- He thought, looking the squire and the princess up and down. "Ivie, eh? I'm Tyler Carter, pleased to meet you." Tyler introduced himself with a small smile, wondering how she would take it. His teeth were very white... and they contrasted with his black... everything. His voice was very deep and he had a strong southern accent... but if you listened close enough there was a tiny scottish accent mixed in with it.

Surveying this 'Tyler' she wondered what sort of knight he was. Didn't even have a 'Sir' prefex, nor a squire. At least he looked like he could ride, and that was something. Inviting him in with a wave of ivies hand, the two of them went into a study near by. It was furnished greatly, with fancy bits of food on a small glass table in the center of the room, in front of a couch. The princess sat down, and invited the knight to do the same.

Tyler resisted a sigh and followed the princess. "I prefer to stand." He said, keeping standing with his arms crossed over his chest. The thought occured to him that might be considered rude... right now he didn't really care. He wondered if the princess would even care. Tyler surveyed the room, thinking, -way too fancy-

"No, sit." Ivie said sternly, patting on a spot on the fancy, wollen couch, patterned purple and blue. "That is an order." Watching him sit down, she turned to face him. "Now, before I can really open up to you, proving you are legitimate is a must. May I ask for your full knighted name?" Ivie said, keeping a stern, but kind face. Why didn't he introduce himself as a knight? Maybe not every knight does that... Edited at May 9, 2023 05:05 PM by Lucky Stables
