Mikhail huffed as he finished wiping down a saddle, who would know something as simple as cleaning tack would be so difficult? He was assigned to clean the saddles and his sister, Anya, was assigned to feed and water all the animals. Mikhail definitely didn't envy her, although he also preferred not to have the extremely repetitive job of cleaning thousands of halters, bridles, blankets, saddles, and so much more either. . The family farm consisted of two stables with eleven stalls in each, two barns that housed sheep and goats, quite a few riding arenas, and many pastures. Each stable has a tack room that lie between two stalls, which was where Mikhail currently was. He looked down at the rest of the tack he had to clean, causing him to let out a frustrated sigh. 'this really is a two person job..' he thought to himself, he was then distracted by the loud chewing of a certain mare. Mikhail smiled, instantly recognizing Blueberry. He walked out of the tack room and towards Blueberry's stall, watching her munch her hay over the stall's gate door, causing it go everywhere on the floor. Mikhail held himself back from letting out another frustrated sigh, watching the chunky mare make a massive mess. . He stroked Blueberry's face, almost completely forgetting about his assigned chore. Mikhail was then abruptly brought back to reality at the sounds of the barn door creaking, turning around to see his sister giggling. "Have you heard?" she asked, only causing Mikhail to respond with a confused head-shake. "I don't really know what's going on either, but like, apparently some lady is coming here and is helping around the farm for like.. whatever reason." Anya trailed, almost beginning to look bored. This made Mikhail only more confused, 'That was an insanely vague and terrible explanation...' he thought to himself, soon hearing the sounds of a vehicle pulling in the farm seconds later. . . // Sorry I took forever and that it's a bit dry!! Whenever I start off I always take a good minute LOL. I also can't speak russian, so when he's speaking to his sister and it's italic, it's suppose to represent the english translation. I hope that made sense!! I didn't want to seem like I was controlling your character so I ended it with her arrival :) // Edited at March 27, 2023 10:22 PM by winterbloom

"At least the Stables look nice.." Zomi rolled her eyes, Apparently, since her salty attitude was too much for her hometown to manage her parents sent her to this countryside farm too, 'Get better' Zomi exited the vehicle and her chauffeur followed after her. The man let the door down of the three-horse trailer exposing Zarah to the sunlight that seemed to be beaming uncontrollably. The man attempted to grab the horse's reins but Zomi snatched them out of his hands with a harsh comment "Don't touch my horse, She's worth more than your life!" Zomi said, looking back at the man who seemed unbothered as he was used to this behavior from her.
She turned away from him and scanned the stables. Zomi then beckoned the thoroughbred from the trailer and brought her closer to the stables. Zarah seemed aware of her new surroundings as her ears pricked back, Her attention clear. "Something different eh?" Zomi turned to pat the mare gently, She may have had a bad attitude, But when it came to her horse Zarah seemed to be the only one able to make her smile- or even happy for that matter.
Zomi thought to herself as she stood inches away from the stables, She realized that she'd have to also help around with the work. Which she didn't mind, if she wasn't being commanded to do so. She walked quietly over to the two people who seemed to be watching the arrival. Zomi scanned both of them very clearly, She was disinterested in both of them. "Wheres is Zarah's stall?" She said, Her tone was firm, Not at all the welcoming or friendly tone you'd hear from most people, Yet her gray-blue eyes seemed to stare at them directly, Waiting for a response.
// Its okay!!

Mikhail stayed put in the stable, keeping his spot next to the blue roan mare. Anya seemed to have skipped off outside the barn, doing lord knows what. The thought of some lady coming here to help around the farm gave Mikhail a mixed feeling of uncertainty, and small anxiety. Mostly due to because he didn't know who this strange person was at all, and most definitely didn't want to help teach a complete newbie basic farm chores. The other part of him held a small feeling of frustration at the fact his mother never announced that someone would be paying a visit. . On the other hand, Anya was standing outside the stable, observing the strange girl. She made a final judgement on Nozomi just by seeing her actions alone, and that judgement was that she did not like her one bit. However, Anya fawned over the thoroughbred. "she's beautiful.." she whispered, gazing over every part of the horse. Anya wanted more than anything to have her own horse and to compete in show jumping. However, the family didn't have too much horses cut out for the part as majority of them where draft work horses or elders. . As Anya watched Nozomi approach the stables, she disappeared back in the barn and quickly gazed over to see what stalls where empty- panicking before realizing there was an empty one right besides Blueberry's stall. As the sound of shuffling rocks and hoof beats approached, both Anya and Mikhail mentally prepared themselves for rudeness. As Nozomi entered the stable, Anya flashed her a welcoming smile, whilst Mikhail uncomfortably looked away and kept his attention on his horse. "You can... uh..." Anya blurted, before awkwardly gesturing to the empty stall next to the mare's. The empty stall had a hook on the outside that held a spare blanket and a worn out halter with dirt and grime on it, partly due to Mikhail's poor job at cleaning it. "Welcome!" Anya then cheerfully said, examining Nozomi subtly. . .. . // oml that nearly happened to me, it's so annoying //

After a few moments of her own silence, she had come to the conclusion that the two were somewhat related, They had looked similar. Zomi glanced at the roan horse that stood in their stall. She nodded to the girl(Anya) before speaking up, "Thanks for having me- I suppose.." Her rude attitude had died down a little bit, She somewhat liked Anya. Zomi had forgotten there was another person standing near the stall of the roan horse. That Must be Mikhail. She had heard of all the people who lived here, But her memory caused her to forget.
Zomi turned away from her position that was once facing Anya before walking past her to the stall that was right next to the roan mare she had spotted. She led Zarah into her stall before slipping off her halter and setting it aside. Zomi looked around the stable, It was much different than the one she use to ride, Nothing fancy, Just a stable you'd expect in the countryside "Any of you do eventing?" She questioned, Zomi loved competing so whenever she had the chance she got a spot on the eventing team in her previous stables, She just hoped they did. Otherwise, Zomi had no clue how she'd keep herself entertained.

Blueberry's ears perked, her attention now brought to Nozomi and the mare behind her. She peeked further out over her stall, completely violating their space. Mikhail held back a giggle and took a grip on her halter, pulling her back just a bit. Anya rolled her eyes, both at Mikhail and out of general annoyance. Anya may of already made the decision she didn't like Nozomi, but something in the back of her mind told her to give her a chance. "Yes, you're welcome" Anya nodded, her eyes flickering over to Mikhail, silently begging him to say something so the conversation wouldn't turn awkward. . Mikhail looked over at Nozomi, something about her set off a feeling of familiarity. He slightly tilted his head, trying to figure out where in the world they would of crossed paths. He soon looked away, not wanting to seem like a total creep. "No" Mikhail finally spoke up in response to Nozomi's question, although it came out nearly as a whisper. He definitely didn't do eventing, it wasn't often he rode the horses either. "N-no, but I do like jumping, even though I never get a chance." Anya blurted, the thought of being in the presence of an eventer seemed to excite her. "Do you do eventing?" Anya asked, smiling. . . // goodnight!!! i should be active tomorrow, lol but i'll probably sleep in :D // Edited at March 28, 2023 12:13 AM by winterbloom
