Please don't post if you are not Burning Rose equine or myself, but feel free to read along! - MxF, a kingdom where everyone has wings, white wings is for royalty, black wings is for warriors, all other colored wings are for normal people. The hopeless romantic princess falls and the head warrior fall in love, but they are not supposed to be together, and have to keep their relationship a secret. The head warrior is dark, edgy and has major PTSD from his missions. The princess has an arranged marriage with another prince, but is in love the head warrior. The head warrior is sent away to war, but comes back heavily wounded, and dying. When he heals up, the two of them decide to tell the king and queen about their relationship. The king and queen forbid them from seeing each other. But the princess begs her parents and threatens to run away with the head warrior until the king and queen give in, and let them be together, and the princess doesn't have to have a arranged marriage. - Arkans = Bat wings Solarians = Bird/feathered wings Ritorians = Hummingbird wings |

(Dinner anyone? xD) Silvia Jane - Vivi rung her wrists painfully, a nervous habit. A few minutes ago she had received word that the Arkan's had declared war on them. The skin on Vivi's wrists started to burn and she let go, staring as shallow bruises started to form a circle bracelet around his wrist. The princess unclasped her hands and smoothed her white dress with golden lacing. Her black hair was twisted into a Braided bun, on top of her head. Gold decorated her neck, ears and arms. There were small chains of gold draped over her wings like slik, and golden tassels sprouting from the bottom of her dress. Vivi looked in the mirror, her own reflection surprised her. It had been a while since she had been dressed like this, there must be a formal dinner on tonight. Probably so her father could gather the lords and their wives of Solara and discuss battle plans, that meant higher Warriors were likely to be invited too. Vivi placed her hands on her stomach, her warm brown hands making a sharp contrast against her silky white dress. Vivi turned, the dress swirling around at her ankles, the feathers from her wings fluttering. A servant stood by the door, his pale hand waiting expectantly on the door handle. Vivi sighed, "alright, I am going" she said, feeling the urge to stretch her wings, but she resisted. She needed to be seen as a lady, not a misbehaving child. The sound of her own footsteps greeted Vivi as she walked into the carved corridor, large columns of carved gold and marble curved out of the floor as if they had grown rather then been carved. |

Silvia Jane - The Princess shuffled her heavily decorated white wings, her fingers fiddling with the golden bracelets that decorated her wrists, protecting them from view. Thanks to Vivi's terrible nervous habit, bruises covered her wrists. Vivi stood in the corner of the immense royal dinning hall, a small drink in hand. The princess brought the glass to her lips and dared to sip. A sour expression covering her face as the bitter liquid covered her tongue. Why would someone want to ever possibly have a sour drink? Vivi shook her head, some people were just strange.
Butterflies fluttered around in Vivi's stomach, the bitter liquid from the drink settled like a metallic substance in her belly. All together, the nerves from the Arkans starting a war, and the amount of people in the familiar dining room, and the nausea from the bitter drink all swirled together. Making Vivi just want to turn and flee, to rip off all the gold that decorated her and open her wings and fly.
Vivi shook her head, hoping to push the rebellious thoughts from her head, she promised her father and mother that she would be here tonight. Vivi pushing herself off of the wall behind her, coming out of the shadows, she could probably walk around, speak to some nobles, get something to eat and leave.
Vivi tentatively swirled the bitter drink in her hand, looking as though she enjoyed it. The bottom of her dress fluttered around her ankles, never knowing when to rest. The princess turned, smiling to a random noble couple. "Good day" she muttered, a fake smile plastered to her face, she turned again, this time to a lone noble, "greetings." Vivi went around the room, muttering small things like, "Good day or greetings," she finally made it to the table in the middle of the room, food took up the whole length of the table, Roast pork, beef and birds with plum glazing, bread rolls, and roasted vegetables. Curry's and spicy beans, any type of food you could imagine.
The princess grabbed a small plate, grabbing a piece of meat and bread before backing away. She turned and looked around, time to find a small place the eat. While she was looking around, her eyes came to a stop on a man with black wings, and dark curls. Vivi frowned, realising the man was staring at her. Embarrassment coloured her cheeks, she didn't even remember his name, she had been trying hard to remember the names of the people that were coming tonight, looks like she had to try harder.
Vivi squinted at the man, trying to get a closer look. She swore she knew him, she just had to remember his name. Her eyes raked over the man, he had black wings, a sign of a warrior, he wouldn't be here is he was a lower kind of warrior. So he must be a higher ranked warrior, which there was only a few of here tonight.
Vivi knew his name started with a C.. hmm, Vivi shook her head, looks like it was finally time to approach the Warrior. The princess held the small plate in one hand, one of her golden bracelet's sliding to her wrist, revealing the mottled bruises around her wrist. Vivi, unaware of the bracelet, walked over to the man. Once she was close enough, she curtsied, a sign of respect.
"Greetings" she said, tilting her head, "I was near the table when I saw you staring at me, I was just wondering, what was your name?" Vivi said, hoping none of the nerves that clattered around inside showed in her voice. |

Silvia Jane - Vivi smiled, tilting her head, "Cassian" she said, trying the name out of her tongue. Now that she said it, she could remember him. "Your the Head Warrior? Cassian Harlow?" She said, watching him as he kissed her hand, a odd sort of pleasure flooded her, not lust but rather joy. Vivi sucked in a breath, the dresses corset pressed against her, not making this sudden feeling any better. Vivi frowned, she saw his eyes linger on her bruises, she self consciously reached for her bracelet and covered the bruises. "So? What is it like to be a Warrior?" Vivi asked, her eyes taking in his muscles, dark curls and dark eyes but also the amazing pale skinned contrast. |
