It was Saturday, early afternoon, just past lunch time when Sylvia had finished her last kids lesson of the day. She had been so caught up with teaching students that she had hardly spent any time with Dexter today. Thankfully she had a lesson later that day but all she could think about was how disappointed Dexter would be in her.

After Sylvia helped the children tack off their ponies and bid them farewell, she made her way down the main cobblestone path toward the pastures where Dexter had spotted her; the massive gelding passed up and down his pasture as he threw a nicker or two her way. Once Sylvia reached his pasture, she picked up his lead rope and called him over,

"Come boy~" she whistled out.

Dexter soon trotted over toward her before she clipped on the lead rope to his halter and began to lead him out of his pasture and down the path back to the stables. His stall was on the far end in the main barn.

As the pair made their way into the barn; hooves clopped against the concrete floor as she lead him to his stall, a rubber ball hung from the ceiling of his stall as the gelding immediately rushed inside of his stall as he began to play with the ball with his lips; he pulled Sylvia into his stall with him as she nearly fell with the sudden pull motion.

"Hey! It would be nice to be taken into conceration from time to time, you know?"

Sylvia scolded jokingly. She quickly unclipped his lead rope and closed the stall door behind her and locked it before she began to make her way over to the tackroom, situated just down the hall of the barn. Sylvia made a quick trip in and out of the tackroom as she walked back to Dexter's stall with the saddle, numnah, bridle, a martingail and a grooming kit in hand. She soon placed her things down as she grabbed her grooming kit and entered back into the stall; grooming her horse down before her lesson started. Once grooming was done, Sylvia grabbed her tack as she quickly tacked up her horse just in time before her father called out her name from the barn entrance.

"Sylvia! Come on, you are going to be late for your lesson"

He called out. Sylvia quickly shouted back before she swung open the stall door and headed for the arena for her lesson.

Caleb pulled into the driveway of the familiar stables, stepping out of his large truck, and walking to the barn. He sighed at the smell of horses, his friends teasing him occasionally because of it. He walked to Splash's stall and stroked the mare's nose lovingly. "Hey, pretty girl." He murmured to the horse, pulling her blanket off and clipping a leadrope to her halter. He smiled and tied her to the crossties before grooming her out and tacking up. He smiled at another woman walking her horse down the aisle to the arena before he walked his mare to the arena as well.

When Sylvia and Dexter entered the arena, she quickly made her way to the mounting block and got on- she adjusted her stirrups slightly before she spotted her father as he took a seat outside of the arena in the shade beneath a tree.

"Alright, so we'll be doing some basics today, Sylvia. 90 centimeter jumps. Dexter can jump those with ease but I want to try and get you both to jump them... a bit lower this time and not clear the jumps by jumping double the high."

He explained with a small chuckle. Sylvia nodded as she tightened her reins and gave Dexter a small squeeze- the gelding immediately began to go into a forward walk to warm up, then a forward trot and soon the pair was warmed up for the lesson. Sylvia's father entered the arena as he set up a couple of jumps to 90 centimeters and left the arena to go back to his seat. Her father then gestured for her to try them as Sylvia took in a deep breath and began to ask for a canter. Without hesitation the gelding hopped straight into a rythmatic canter as they lined up for the first two 90 centimeter jumps. Dexter quickly jump the first one with ease and three strides in, jumped the second jump much higher than he did the first- once they landed Dexter began with his antics again as he shot a few high bucks into the air. Sylvia quickly pushed her heels down and sat deep into the saddle as she rode out Dexters few bucks and was thankfully able to quickly collect him once more.

"Good job regaining his focus there, Sylvia! On to the next three"

Her father shouted as Sylvia nodded and lined Dexter up for the next three. Once again Dexter cleared the jumps by nearly double the height; three strides in between each jump and as per usual, shot two high bucks into the air; nearly causing Sylvia to lose her balance as she lost one of her stirrups with the sudden movement once more. She pulled Dexter into a tight trot circle as she got her sturrips back and cantered Dexter another lap around the arena. They continued this pattern a few times with Dexter bucking one or twice after every few jumps. His strong muscular body only proved how much power he had behind every buck; leaving Sylvia to hang on until she managed to regain his focus.

Caleb took SPlash to the open end of the arena, a smaller but open spot, and lunged her out for a bit before mounting up and jogging
