Plot:

Princess BD of the Kingdom of Vaeril is renowned for her beauty, intelligence, and kindness, but her life has never been her own. Forced into an arranged marriage with sussy prince of the neighboring kingdom, she is sent to marry a man she's never met. sussy prince is charming but cold, and his intentions seem shrouded in mystery—rumors swirl about his questionable past, yet BD is duty-bound to fulfill her royal duty.

On the day of her arrival to sussy prince's kingdom, BD stumbles upon a secret: the prince is rumored to have committed atrocities to consolidate his power. Though she tries to push aside her suspicions, she feels uneasy in her new role. Alone and trapped in a palace where every gesture and word is calculated, BD finds solace in the castle gardens and her growing bond with the staff, who seem to hold secrets of their own.

One night, her world shifts when she witnesses a young thief, Gale, caught attempting to steal from the royal treasury. The guards punish him severely, but before he is dragged away, BD sees something in his eyes—defiance, pain, and something else, something that stirs her compassion. Unable to ignore him, she orders the guards to stop and secretly takes him into her own quarters, hiding him from sussy prince’s wrath.

Gale is initially distrustful, but over time, he reveals his past: a childhood of hardship and a desperate need to protect his younger sister from a cruel, oppressive regime. BD’s heart softens as she learns that Gale isn’t the villain sus prince’s court makes him out to be, but a man driven by necessity and justice. She helps him heal his wounds and offers him a chance to escape, but instead of running, Gale remains by her side, teaching her the ways of the streets—how to see the world through the eyes of those who have been overlooked and forgotten.

As the days pass, the two grow closer. BD begins to question the marriage she's been forced into. Her heart longs for freedom, for truth, and for a life where she doesn’t have to play the part of a pawn in a royal game. The more she learns about Gale’s true nature, the more she falls in love with him: his honesty, his passion, and his desire to make the world a better place.

But danger lurks. Sus prince's suspicion grows as BD relationship with Gale deepens. He sees BD kindness toward the thief as betrayal, and when the truth comes to light, he threatens her life and Gale's. Faced with the ultimate choice—her duty or her heart—BD decides to flee with Gale, escaping the royal life she was meant to live.

In the end, ---- must confront not only the oppressive traditions of her kingdom but her own heart. Can she take the risk of giving up everything for the love of a man considered a criminal, or will the weight of her title be too heavy to cast aside?

And what are you wearing?" He asked, looking her up and down. She wasn't in her typical outfit, wanting to be more than just a tool for her parents to use as leverage with the other kingdoms. "Jeans." She stated, shoulder-checking him and continuing walking. "You know if Caleb sees you like that, he'll make you change right?" Her brother, Hunter, called down the hall after her.
