when the ebbing of the night subsided, the male stirred out of slumber. in a cove that was merely brightened by the chiming sunlight, the sabertooth seemed, prompted out of that groggy, dazed state. already ascending on his feet to peer out of the murky cove into the cloudless outside.

he was ravenous, nearly famished. and the gaze he proposed, meant one thing — desire. driven by the trace of libidinal zeal. 'kanu strode forward into the shadowy woodland, bristled by the grooming wind tousle overhead. it was merely a blustery, but seemingly sunny dawn. and if he was prudent enough, he would be victorious throughout his hunt. it was early, an excellent possibility for him when the herbivores abiding in the grove biome were just fussing out of their own slumber.

and amidst the looming groves, the thicket of scrubs kindle his furry sides, 'kanu halted in his footing, muscles rippling as his nostrils flared fiercely. an odor. he mused chestily, round ears tilting aloft on his cranium. it was pungent, though essentially wilting. it tasted sickly sweet and fresh. adorned by the steel tinge of blood. either it was a carcass or a varmint that was wounded and had to endure the overwhelming despair of the injury. and if it sounded worrisome, 'kanu seemed ecstatic. if it was still subsisting, trudging from the gorgeous scenery provoked by the draft, 'kanu would have a pleasure in hunting it down. tormenting it, possibly even trifling with his feast until he decides to slaughter it.

he liked his fare fresh, freshly hunted, perhaps. enjoy the bliss, then feast upon the mouthwatering flesh of the target. it was all for the frivolity. 'kanu was just like that. a barbaric male that had no power over it. not like he wanted to adjust it. he just abode with that slumping sensation in the depths of his gut. it was all for an amusing intent

and the more he bode stoically in that very area, the longing inflated. he needed to flee toward that precise odor before it withered even more. and as he did, it soared stormier now. swamping his nostrils that drove his thoughts to churn in a typhoon. he was getting nearer, he discerned it in his blood. how it simmered, how his veins felt ardent with adrenaline. how the froth beading from his chops indicated his starvation.

this odor belonged to a stag, a caribou that had branched antlers, virile hooves, and mass. the one that trudged with elegance and spirit. but shuddered in trepidation when approached by carnivores its size.

and 'kanu couldn't await to encounter his approaching repast.
