| Same but it may just be my state. I even went online and applied for one in the town I live in now and I just have to go by the library and show my ID to get the physical card. The one I did have was the town I used to live in and it expired but I could do the same thing to get it renewed. Just have to show my ID |

| Some places here will take bank statements or just any piece of mail with the adress and your name, even spam mail, but not all places |

| Presumably the bills are just as an official proof of address- they don't need to look at the bill itself. Not sure how it works over there but bank statements can be used for the same over here I believe |
