What happens when a young stallion narrowly escapes death not once, but TWICE, and stumbles on a small group of mares that call a hidden cliffside cove their home? Will he be able to win them over for protection in numbers? OR perhaps, shall he be able to offer them protection from unknown dangers that now seem to be afoot? Little does he know, there's more to the story than what meets the eye ... or fangs. . A small herd of mares calls home to a perfectly hidden cove nestled along the eastern coastline of Eden. Underneath the warmth of a sun that has radiated brightly and sheilded them from ever having to experience a hard season or lack of food in the time in which they have resided here, they spend their days without worry and their bellies full. That is, until one day, a stranger penetrates the once thought undiscoverable barrier of their small sanctuary and erupts chaos within their midsts. It is up to their leader, a younger mare with more lineage than experience, to determine if he is a threat and if so, how to eliminate it. However, just as things are beginning to settle down, there seems to be something hunting them from the shadows, picking the mares off one by one ... does the stallion know something about this monster? Can the mares ever trust him? |

Morning In The Cove . This is just for descritive purposes . As the sun peaked over the mountainous terrain, many miles away, the light began to slither over the rocky cliffsides that encircled a large amount of land below. The drastic drop in sea level around this part of the area had allowed new life to sprout, creating a grassy plain that took hold, supporting bluegrass and an assortment of wildflowers best. A magestic waterfall flowed heavily off a portion of the cliffside, creating a freshwater source as it flowed below and then to the mouth of the ocean via a calm river. Different kinds of trees were scattered about the expanse and created a variety of places with shade, but what supported any number of creatues best was the large sized cave, very well hidden behind the cascade of water. The walkway to the entrance of this den led travelers around the pool the waterfall initially fed into before flowing down towards the beach. Small, cool waves gently brush over this stone pathway, calling for very cautious travel along this stretch or one might slip and fall. With steep, jagged rocks all along one side (extending out into the surf on either end) and an endless ocean on the other, the cove seemed inpenetrable. Even the equines who resided here had never found a way out - unless you felt brave and strong enough a swimmer to slice through a rip tide and avoide being thrown into the rocks by monsterous waves in order to swim to the other side of the cove. However, even if you meaneaged that, the deep waters were infested with sharks. Needless to say, no one had dared go out, nor come in. Given how low the cove was from any other inhabitable land space, the herd was hidden in the cove, with never a scent in the air.This meant they were never aware of any other creatures in the area and vise versa. Thankfully, the unwavering security of the cliffs allowed them to never thing very hard about it ... that is until ... |

Teo . . Gender: Stallion Age: 3 years 7 months Height: 18.0 Hands . Appearance: As handsome as he is tall, Teo sports a very unique and flashy coat. His mane and tail are both two toned and grow incredibly long and thick with a slight natural curl. His eyes are icy blue and his dark head is broken by a white badger face marking. . His build is almost draft like. He exhibits a wide chest, thick, strong legs, and hips for days. From his constant traveling across different terrain on a regular basis, he has incredible muscle in his neck, shoulders, topline, and hind quarters. With the mention of being a mixture of draft somewhere down the line, it can be easily assumed that he is a very easy keeper, able to survive for quite a while longer than most, even while on a diet of less nutritious food items. . Personality: Always kind and forever willing to give others another chance, Teo possesses a deep respect for life and freedom and often is reluctant to choose violence as a means to solve conflicts throughout his life. He can be jealous and stubborn somethines, even (though rarely) saying or acting on things without a thorough thought through first. One of his flaws is that he is predisposed to running away and avoiding his problems while refusing to accept the real emotional tole that it has taken on him. His natal role was bestowned onto him against his will and it took shape in his life as a threat towards his very way of life and everything he knew at the time. He was expected to be this 'larger than life' hero who was destined and willing to do anything at all costs to end a rivalry older than himself, but it wasn't that simple for him. Not only does he not want to be a hero, he doesn't think of himself as one. However, running away from this very responsibility led to the murder of his entire bloodline and his way of life. Teo only sees himself as someone who already deeply failed those he was suppsoed to protect more than once. Teo is not characterized as someone who cares about being powerful or wants a monumentally heroic life- he just wants to be a normal stallion and stay away from everyone so he can no longer cause harm and heartbreak |

Other Characters *These characters are important to the main characters, but they are not a part of the core plotline, so they will make appearances as they are relavent to the story's progression. They may come and go from time to time. . Isa is 3 year old herd mare. Very pretty and dainty, Isa is definietly the chatterbox of the group and more trusting and naïve than the others. . Priya is a 4 year old herd mare. She typically has a calm, enjoyable demeanor about her; but she can go 0-60 in an instant. Standing 15 hands even, her stature may not be intimidating alone, but the amount of muscle on the equine is enough to give anyone a decent challenge. She is definiely the peacemaker of the group, able to calmly diffuse most scuffles amongst the mares. . *More To Be Added |

Rose- a red roan Spanish mustang. She has a white blaze, and a coronet on her front, left leg. She's fiery, protective, loyal, and logical. She belonged to a ranch, but was the only mustang there. One day, she broke out, and never looked back. Ste stands at 14.2 hands high. Isis- a black sabino mare, Thoroughbred. She's calm, sweet, but protective. She was a former racer, but some people kidnapped her for money, and she escaped. She hasn't looked back since. Racing name was 'Isis To Hades'. She's 16 hands high. Emerald- a steel grey/black Icelandic horse. She was shipped from Iceland, but her current 'owner' used harmful things on her, so she left. She's loving, protective, and kind. SHe's 14 hands high. Now, for my lead mare; Mehkit. Mehkit is a solid black mare, with several scars from previous fights with other horses, humans, and wild animals. She's a Friesian, so she's fast, and strong. She can be logical, but she protects her herd. She takes in any lone horse, but is very wary on stallions. She is 17 hands high. |

The sun was high in the sky, beating down heavy rays of heat onto the dark pelt of the stallion as he traveled. His gait was a bit sluggish and his eyes heavy as he stared blankly ahead at the horizon. He had seen nothing but shrubs and grass for the last 2 days, traveling in a straight line away from his natal herd. While probably not the best idea hed ever had, he also had no idea where he was going and was trying to avoid walking in circles. For the first time in his life he was free and able to go wherever he pleased ... but also in that same breath, he was alone for the first time. Lonliness was a feeling he had never thought about when he daydreamed about his new taste of freedom. Perhaps it was just a touch of home sickness, maybe it would pass shortly?

As he traveled east, the horizon began to grow a dark shade of green against the pale, dried grasses of the plains he had been staring at for 48 straight hours. His audits pricked in interest as he moved his gait up to an extended trot. As it came more into view, he realized that it was trees that he saw. Big, green, trees that shaded the ground beneath them. A smile swept across his muzzle as he loped forward, the sweat that had accumulated over his body was quickly dried by the time he reached the wood line. Teo nearly disappeared into the dark cover of the branches tightly woven into each other to the point that nearly no light could peak through to the ground. The soil beneath him was mostly earth with a few blades of dull yellowish grass sprouting sporadically. At this point, he didn't care about the grass, he was just thrilled that he was no longer being cooked alive! |

(I don't know Priya or Isa's breeds, and colors.) A Friesian mare was leading five other mares to the coastline, letting them graze. She sniffed the air, on the lookout for predators and humans alike. She let out a nicker, letting her small band graze. Her herd consisted of a red roan Spanish mustang, a black sabino Thoroughbred, an Icelandic mare, and two other mares. "Alright, ladies. Go ahead and graze." She stated, tail swishing. "I'll join you five soon, after I finish the usual patrol. Run to the cave if you see danger." |
