Darcy shook her head a little. "I think what you have gone through is more horrible than anything you were framed for doing" she said. "Wait..?" She paused for a moment, taking it in. "Does that mean this is the most civil conversation you've had with a person since you have been here?" She shook her head again. So that was why he showed almost no emotion. He had no reason to show them. How could someone suffer this long? She couldn't bare sitting in a room in silence. Just the few second paused between conversations was enough to make her fidget. That was why she fiddled with her hair so much.

Rusty glanced at her with a wan smile. He guessed she would understand. He didn't like laying all his burdens on someone else, but it was nice to get it off his chest, for a change. Hanging onto everything for these long years had been quite hard, and he didn't really want to do it anymore. At her question, he stared at the wall for a second, thinking, before nodding slowly. "Yeeep. Any other conversation I have had has needed painstaking coldness. That's kinda why I look like a stony faced block. I swear I feel like a rock sometimes." He joked half-heartedly, glancing down at the ground, tugging his cap a tiny bit lower over his eyes as he thought.

Darcy nodded a little. "Yeah. Maybe I'll just call you Mr. Stony Face. It suits you" she chuckled then moved around the room. "Sooo..." she stood on one side of the cell. It was just largemouth for her to do a cartwheel or a round off. She acted it out without actually doing the move. After a few seconds, she moved to the corner and lifted her arms in the air. She tucked the front of her shirt into her pants then did a short cartwheel from one corner to the other. "I did it!" She cheered quietly to herself. Darcy sat down then looked at the gate. "Did you see it?" She grinned a little, feeling happier than she had in a while

"Hey- I smile! Sometimes. And my face isn't completely made of stone." Rusty huffed as he defended his poor face, then glanced at her as she started moving around. How did she have so much energy? He just wanted to flop down and die of sleep deprivation. Honestly though, what she did was impressive, because the cell was small and h sure couldn't o one anymore. Imagine putting, like, 200 pounds onto just to hands and lifting the rest in the air? Impossible. "I did. Quite impressive, considering the size of the cell." He commented.

"Mr. Stony face! You do not smile!" She protested. "A tiny body can do much in tiny spaces" she fought a grin as she laid flat out on the cold floor. "Thank you for listening to be blab on and on about my past" she looked at the floor. She saw something moving across the floor and she jumped up. "Oh my- EWWW!" She ran for her bed, sitting on it with her knees pulled to her chest. "I think I'm going to be sick!" A cockroach crawled across the base of the wall before finding a crack and scurrying inside.

"I JUST DID." Rusty protested, then chuckled quietly. "Pff, I should be thanking you for listening to me blab on and on about MY sorry past." He snorted, then looked sideways as she shrieked. "It's just a cockroa- nevermind. There's no point in explaining it." He sighed, looking up as the lunch bell rang. He opened the cell door. "Don't be sick." He said. After she exited, he went in for a second, having seen another cockroach. Quickly, he stepped on it. "That's what shoes are for." He huffed quietly, going out and heading towards the dinner area.

Darcy shot out of the cell and watched as he squished the roach. "Thanks" she mumbled. She walked silently to the table, getting her glop then sitting down. She wasn't exactly hungry, but she needed to put something in her stomach. She out a hand over her belly and took one bite, putting the fork down as she swallowed. She closed her eyes then opened them again, her gaze falling in each prisoner. She wondered about their backstory and how they got there.

Rusty got his own slop, then spoke with another guard and had them take over for a couple minutes. After a discussion with his chief, he came back with an apple. "I've been trying to get this done for years... why now?" He mumbled to himself. There was an announcement over the loudspeakers. {Fresh fruit will now be served at every meal.} He smiled faintly. Finally. Something good to eat. He waited a couple minutes before getting called back in to help bring stuff out. They had bananas and apples, but it was a good start. Enough for everyone to have one. A great start. Real food, for once, would be nice.

Darcy took a second to really breath then looked up at the announcement. "Really?" She muttered. She got up a she grabbed an apple, taking a small bite once she sat back down. "Woah..." she took another bite and closed her eyes, taking in the sweet taste. "I've never had an apple before" she whispered, glancing over at Rusty. The other prisoners looked just as surprised as she was as they bit into their own fruits. "I want a banana. Maybe I'll get one tomorrow" she said quietly to Rusty.
