Izzy blinked in surprise. "Oh, well, I just-" Izzy was lost for words. Dallas had changed in just a few minutes. "But...what if he's hurt? And it'll all be my fault." Izzy's voice quietened, she had always had a soft heart. |

Dallas tried to calm himself, but his breath seemed more like a huff of anger. "He should be hurt." He mumbled under his breath, hopefully to low for Izzy to hear. "Nothing will be your fault. It'll be his fault for running off with his tail between his legs." He snorted, tugging her back towards the cabin. "Don't worry about him." Riptide narrowed his eyes slightly as he crept back towards the house, hearing what Dallas was saying. +Creepy, loud, and very offensive. Sums up Whirlpool+ He thought, his jaw tensing as Dallas started to try and pull Izzy back. That was too much. "Dallas, would you please just stop? You don't have to make a giant deal about it." Ripp said caustiously as he stepped out. "Stop? Why? You never gave me any reason to!" Dallas snapped back, losing his temper. "You always managed to do better them me, whatever lake you went to!" He growled. Riptide winced. There was the snapping point. "I am so sorry for everything Izzy byeee." He said as he grabbed Dallas and tugged the man into the bush. Quickly going right to the lake he pushed Dallas in, then shoved him deeper and deeper underwater until they were not visible from the surface. "What are you thinking, Whirlpool!? You just gave it away! You are not being careful at all! You need to leave!" Ripp snarled. |

Izzy glanced between Dallas and John. Were those even their real names? "What's going on? Lake...what are you talking about?" John rushed off, dragging Dallas with him. Izzy hesitated, not sure what to do. Then, with a huff, she called Rover and followed them. She would find out what was happening. "Come on Rover, we need to find Dallas or-or John or whatever they're called!" Izzy could hear footsteps but when she got through the bushes, all she saw was the lake. Ripples appearance on the surface of the water. Fear gripped Izzy. Had they...pushed each other in? Izzy crouched beside the edge of the lake, peering into the water for any sign of them. "Dallas? John?" |

Whirlpool angrily hissed at Riptide, his hair slowly started to grow longer, a sign of a transformation to come. He then whirled into the palomino kelpie he was, striking out at a still human Ripp. Ripp roared in pain as he got smashed in the chest, hearing cracking as he shot backwards and bounced off some rocks before coming to a painful stop. Blood quickly curled off and floated away in the water. "I'm not going to fight you with Izzy up there! If all you're looking for is a fight, it isn't here!" He called through gritted teeth, his vision going blurry. Whirlpool stomped a hoof on the lake bottom. He looked even more angry at Ripp's words, but he spun and galloped away, disappearing quickly. Riptide could hear Izzy up there calling, but what could he do? Say he was a deep diver, that Dallas and him worked it out, and that he dove in for no reason? Still, to stay in the water much longer he'd have to morph to a Kelpie, and he didn't have the strength right now.. plus broken ribs in a horse were way more serious than in a human. Quickly he made the decision and swam the best he could up to the surface, sputtering and spitting out water and blood as he emerged no more than 15 feet away from Izzy. |

Izzy waited, silence ringing in her ears. Then suddenly something emerged from the water not too far from her. Squinting, she peered closer. John? Izzy could see the blood from there. Had he been injured again or had his wound just reopened? Izzy called out to him. "John!" She wasn't sure he could even hear her. With a tiny sigh, she waded into the water. She shivered at the cold water, despite it being sunny. She grabbed John's wrist and flapped around in the water, the extra weight dragging her down. Izzy gritted her teeth and headed towards the shore where she collapsed with a sigh on the ground. She glanced at John. He had better be grateful. |

Ripp coughed up a little more water, his vision blurry, although he could tell Izzy had waded in and had dragged him the rest of the way to shore. Once there he breathed heavily until his vision was mostly straight, then pulled himself to his knees with a groan of pain. Blood was already soaking through his shirt. Stupid Whirlpool. He wasn't going to be able to explain this one to Izzy. What would he even say? *He attacked me, dragged me into the water, then swam off and didn't resurface till later. Er- he was a swimmer in highschool*. Stupidest explanation ever. "T-thanks.. for... that..." He finally squeezed out slowly. "I... know you'll definitely want an explanation.. but I'm sure you're not going to like what you hear.." Ripp said quietly, wincing as he twisted around to sit down. |

- I am so sorry, life just got super busy and I didn't have time to come on long enough to reply but I should hopefully have more time now- - Izzy scoffed. "You'd better have a good explanation but I'm not sure what you could say to explain that." She pointed a shaky finger at his blood soaked shirt. Izzy sat down on the warm grass, hugging her knees to her chest, shivering a little. As she watched John carefully, she thought about how weird this past day had been since she met him. She'd just fished him out of the lake, Dallas was missing and now he was acting weird. Maybe she had made the wrong decision when she decided to help him. Izzy mentally shook her head. The guy had been unconscious. If she hadn't helped, what kind of person would that make her? Izzy turned back to John. "Well, go on then." |

It's fine! I get busy too sometimes xD) - Riptide ducked his head, looking pained. "You won't believe me." He answered as she pointed, glancing at his blood soaked chest. "I'm sorry for getting you into this. I never should have accepted your offer of help." He groaned, covering his face with his hands and digging his fingers through his hair. "Call me crazy if you want to, but I'm a myth, pretty much. Hopefully you've heard the old folklore stories about Kelpies, right? Weeeell I'm one of them." He stopped, shaking his head slightly. "I'm sorry..." He muttered again, dropping his head between his knees with a wince of pain. This was all his fault. Why couldn't he have just left it? "Oh, and, sorry again, my name is Riptide, not John. Guess I'm just shooting for lies today." He laughed drily, but it quickly morphed into cough, blood shimmering on the rocks. |

Izzy put her head in her hands. What on earth was he babbling about? Kelpies, myths, folklore?! She got up to her feet. "Um, well...If you don't want to say anything, there's no need to make me feel like an idiot and lie to my face. We should, uh, go back and get you bandages for that wound. Come on." Izzy sighed. She'd thought he'd at least tell her something. But of course he was lying about sea monsters and whatnot. She pushed her hair behind her ear, feeling silly. "Come on, before you dry out or whatever." Izzy kept her head down all the way back. |

Riptide hung his head as Izzy completely ignored him. She then spoke and his heart plummeted. "I'm not lying." He hissed lowly, watching her leave before staggering to catch up. "Izzy, I know you don't believe me, and that's why I have to leave. I'm sorry for everything." He said firmly, then transformed into the same majestic black stallion form he always had. He was still bleeding as he shook his head at her and left, diving into the lake, and disappearing beneath the ripples of the water. Ripp swam deeper and deeper, wanting to disappear forever. He had to explain. He HAD to! He couldn't leave her in the dark any longer. This was his fault. |
