After two steady clearings through the course Dakota patted Grace, "You've still got that Cross Country spirit, Huh girl?" He smiled, Beckoning Grace onwards towards the stables, A few meters away from the Stables Dakota dismounted Grace as she was already tired from the course, Grabbing onto the reins He led the Thoroughbred into the stables passing right by the tack room where Lyla was cleaning her tack, Grace's stall was close to the tack room so the only logical thing to do was.. make conversation. "Excited for the upcoming show I'm going to beat you in?" He snickered, Leading grace into her stall and slowly untacking her as Grace lifted hay from the stall floor and threw it on Dakota. |

She heard Dakota's remark ''You mean the show I'm gonna beat you in?'' She laughed to herself. Lyla stood up and put her now clean tack on its rack. She walked out of the tack room and to Star's stall. ''Hey girly,'' She said, handing her mare a carrot tidbit. She made sure the mare had hay and water, then made sure her stall was latched. ''Don't want you getting out again'' Lyla said to herself as she latched the stall. After everything was done, she walked to her car. She got in and sat there a moment before starting it and closing her door. |
