Lol Angel!

Fern it would depend on the horse to be honest. If you've got one that you're wanting to breed for all-round ratings then definitely keep it to eventing as you'll mess your tracking up. But if you've got something like a PEP that isn't really worth matching anyway, they'd earn you more money a bit faster doing single discipline. If you've got one that's clearly single discipline like a WSS, you definitely only want to train and track in the one discipline

If you are showing them yes but if you want to breed them in ratings they need to stay training in all areas so you can match them

Lol for the longest time for some reason my brain always read Int and integrity even though I knew it was intelligence

Okay perfect, thank you! Would you suggest having a horse that's strong in those specific categories only train and show in said discipline?

Anytime :D There are a few guides in the Member Help forum that are super useful as well that would be worth a read. I know I poured over them when I first started because everything can be so confusing until you get the hang of it haha

You can see this in the game guide under "Your Horse" if you forget but, Mv Int and Str are dressage, Hrt Scp and Spd are Jumping, and Hrt Spd and Str are cross-country

It gives an indication of their strengths and weaknesses, yes. If you track how they train, you can then use that to match breeding horses together that cover off each other's weaknesses and hopefully result in a stronger foal

01:26:19 Fern | Kinz
Does someone know what all the gauges are? I've figured out speed and heart, possibly strength, but could someone run by the full names of each for me?

You can see what week they are on where it says "Training" on their page and "Training Sessions"

Oh okay! And it's a clue as to how well a horse will perform as time goes on? I've seen horses with the same ratings train differently, so I'm assuming that's what it's for?
Angels angels
01:25:04 [1k+ brindles] Angel
You train your horses every week. So each week is one training session. At certain weeks we like to see a certain amount of bars gained in the training guage to see if the horse is strong or not and may be a good producer
Minerva
01:24:32 Min
The week is equal to the number of training sessions the horse has (as you can train once per week). So week 4s are 4 training sessions etc :)

Hey, I'm fairly new to the game, and I have a quick question. I see people talking about "weeks" in terms of training for foals. Can someone explain that to me? ^^'

Parker pulled into her driveway. She parked her truck and got out. She let the dogs out then headed inside. Hee dad wouldn't be home for a while yet, so after she let the dogs inside she went to her room. She cleaned her room and reorganized it, hanging up some new western/country themed flags and posters she had
gotten.

Parker's dad got home late. It was about 10:45pm when he had gotten home. Parker had gone to bed already, as she was fairly tired. Lilith lay at the foot of her bed, Arden at the door and Jack by the window. Her dad ate the dinner Parker left in the microwave then went to bed

I'm gonna redo my role, and add more detail.))
Parker arrived at the ranch, Lilith in the truck bed. She had left the other dogs home since her dad had the day off. She parked the truck and put the keys in her pocket. She got out of the truck and let Lilith out.
-
The collie wagged her tail excitedly as she followed Parker to the barn. Lilith sat outside the barn patiently waiting as Parker grabbed the training whip and lunge line. She walked out of the barn and to the round pen where she had left the Filly. Lilith followed her and sat outside the pen as Parker worked with the horse.
-
Parker entered the pen, hanging the lunge line over the fence. She set the whip down and approached the filly. The filly squealed and bolted around the pen. Parker walked back to where she had set the whip and grabbed it.
-
She walked to the middle of the round pen and started making the filly trot around her. She free lunged the filly for about 20 minutes, then set the whip against the gate. Parker returned to the middle and sat down, facing away from the filly.

The filly approached Parker from behind and sniffed her. She bumped Parker with her nose, then walked around and put her nose in Parker's lap. Parker slowly pet the filly, scratching under her short forelock. "Good girl" She'd whisper to the young horse.
