Mine are adoptive parents..... My adoptive mother took my all my animals from me, changed the gate code and told everyone to not let me on the property for any reason... I still have belongings in the house too... Not allowed to get them... I am living in New Jersey with my boyfriend and I just adopted a little black cat as my 2 gray tabby girls are no longer alive... I have a tuxedo cat male who I am not sure if he is still alive or in a shelter or not....

Unfortunately the current economic state of Australia is not a good one (as I imagine a lot of countries are right now) and we have a severe housing shortage. If there are houses that I can afford, they don't allow pets, or I'd be competing against hundreds of others also needing a home that can win simply because they can pay more.

I could write a novel with all the horrible things she's done... and let me tell you this house isn't worth 400. The pool is breaking down and the pump is dead, paint is peeling everywhere, drains are blocked, the ducted doesn't work, the extraction fan is jammed, the shutters don't open, the stove doesn't work, one door doesn't close, the security doors are about as strong as paper... it goes on.

So for context, I'm aussie... I'm on centrelink, I pay $400 a week for rent. There are no cheaper houses around to rent... I've searched hard. I'm in no position to buy a house, though I won't lie I've been popping some lotto tickets for the faintest glimmer of hope... I want to get away from her, more than anything, but I'm stuck.
