Forgetfulness, misplacing things, not being organized, struggling to stay motivated and pay attention in school, missing assignments, getting overwhelmed, it goes on and on. It's so obvious to me now that I'm informed. My parents thought I just didn't feel like being a productive kid.

@Seven, I was also diagnosis with very mild ADHD. I don't think it manifested itself when I was a kid though. I can definitely see it now.

I was finally diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s after years of my issues being dismissed by both of my parents, who don't believe in/understand it

@Seven, the only thing a diagnosis has helped me with is having closure and getting accomodations. But evidently since my diagnosis is a few years old it is now no longer valid?
