I understand that the PON is hard to see on the leader boards but how are they in the futurities? Any good? Or do they do best in shows where they just show against their own breed?

They never show against just their own breed.

The breeding leaderboards are completely unrelated to any showing.

Futurities are for yearlings only, must be put into futurity of choice at time of breeding.
But all breeds compete against each other, and breed doesn't matter.
The best ones will be PPP+ for eventing, be geldings (train faster)
The single discipline (dressage, jumping, cross country) the best ones will be E rated in that discipline, and be geldings.
