You walk into the trail head office, looking around. The first thing you see are photos of all of the horses caught on the trails. Some being beautiful, natural colors. Then others being unnatural colors on top of unnatural limbs. Such as wings sprouting from their sides, or horns pointing upward from their foreheads. "Hello!" shouts a voice from across the room, making you about jump out of your skin. "I assume your here to explore for one of them steeds? Mighty strong and beautiful creatures I tell ya!" You look around, trying to spot where the voice was coming from. It wasn't much longer until you spot the short woman sitting at the bar-like desk at the opposite corner of the room. Walking up, you simply nod at her question. "Perfect! Let's get you started.. Here's a piece of rope, it will be 100 shillings.. You will have to purchase it in order to catch a steed. Then, the other assortments we have around are for your liking if you'd want them. They all have their descriptions with their price." The lady placed the rope on the counter, then motioned for you to look around if you'd like too. Looking around some more, you walk around the multitude of counters and such. Eventually, you find some apples and peppermints. Both of which will be more than helpful on your jounrey! (At least you hope..). "Okay.. let's see.. apples, peppermints, the rope and your grounds fee... It all comes to 11,900 shillings!" Once you pay, the woman ushers you toward the door. Through the glass, all you seen was darkness. Though, the woman still ushered you forward and through the door. Once outside, you could hear the wind whistling through the vast area, the trail leading back into a large cave you could see from where you stood. It was quite the sight. But -- still scary! Making your way into the cave. You were almost mesmerized how different gems on the wall lit your way through the beginning. Almost like you were some sort of chosen one.. or perhaps a diamond in the rough that was searching for something in the dark? Shrugging the thoughts off, you soon come to your first split. It goes three different directions. Which way will you go? A) Straight B) Left C) Right D) Go back, this is too scary! |
