℧ Welcome to Sundown Valley Ranch! ℧ My great great grandfather started this ranch well over a hundred years ago. He worked with the native peoples to obtain the finest appaloosa and paint horses known to man. Combined with the blood of the most remarkable mustangs and quarter horses, a new breed was created. My family and I have poured over this breed for generations. Now, we are ready to share them with the world. Meet the breed we fondly call “The American Dream” ℧ Capture, Direct Sales, Breeding ℧ There’s something that my family believes firmly in. You don’t choose the horse - the horse chooses you. You can come to our ranch and ride out on one of our many acres. There you can go out and “capture” your own horse. If that really isn’t your thing, not to worry! We have a stable full of mares that just came off nursing, stallions who were outcast from their herds, and horses we are nursing back from injury or illness. You can walk through the isles and see if a horse catches your eye - and your heart. We typically allow breeding, but you'll have to check out our current availability. We have selected some of our best stallions for this process. Once you purchase a mare, you can breed her to any of our stallions, or your own. Please help us continue our legacy and make this breed even greater! ℧ Pricing ℧ Capture (The Prairies) - 15k Direct Purchase (The Barns) - 10k - 30k Breeding - 10k (for foal image, extra 15k for adult) *Please always send ebs AFTER completion Edited at October 8, 2025 02:36 PM by Galloping Graces

℧ The Prairie (Capture) ℧ OPEN We have over a thousand acres of land for our horses to graze on. There are several different herds throughout the ranch and you can choose your preference. Most herds (besides the bachelor herd) consist of mostly mares. Keep in mind that colors and genders are never guaranteed and will always be random! Once you've decided on which herd you'd like to capture from, just drop a comment! Pirate’s Herd - Pirate is a fierce black paint. Most horses in his herd are black based. Paint markings are a hit or miss. Domino’s Herd - Domino is a breathtaking appaloosa. Most horses in his herd are appaloosa. Gabriel’s Herd - Gabriel is a stunning grey stallion. Lots of grays, roans, and silvers in his herd. Sterling’s Herd - Sterling is a precious cremello pintaloosa. Every horse carries creme but the appaloosa and paint genes are hit or miss. The Bachelor Herd - All horses in this herd are stallions. All different colors. *I have never seen it myself, but I feel that with the right person, the herd stallions may just be called to leave their herd... ℧ The Barns (Direct Sale) ℧ The horse will choose you. While that rings especially true in the valley, it's just as true here in our barns! We have hundreds of stalls filled with outcast stallions, foaling mares, and horses we are nursing back from injury or illness. They are all deserving of love and I just know there's a special person out there for each of them. | Maple Mare Red Roan (Rnrn) This sweet old mama has produced some of our very best foals and has thrown twins more than a couple of times! Don't let her simple coat fool you, she's a powerhouse for color. SOLD | White Christmas Mare Grey Sabino (Sbsb) This is one of the beautiful ladies we bred ourselves. I'd love to keep her myself, but I would be happier knowing she can go to someone who can give her all the attention and love in the world. SOLD | | | Spiced Cidar Mare Bay Roan (Rn?) This is a special one. We found her wondering outside the paddocks a few months ago and decided to bring her in. She's got the smarts and the heart to take her person anywhere. ℧ Breeding ℧ CLOSED Oh yes, the most exciting part of owning your very own horses! It took a lot of convincing, but I finally got ol' grandpa to open breeding to the public. He just wants to make sure this breed maintains everything he put into creating it. If you're here, I know you're one such person who cares about this legacy! When breeding is open, you can breed to one of the stallions we have listed below or one of your own if you own one! Some things to keep in mind... The flat rate for breeding is 10k for foal and an extra 15k for the adult version. Foals are mandatory. If you do not want the adult image you do not have to pay for it. You can make that decion anytime. There is no cap on how many times a mare or stallion can be bred. Twins are possible but are about 1 in 10, with slightly better odds if a mare "carries that gene". It is also inhertiable. If you do not like the foal, you can repeat the breeding at no charge and I will resell the foal. You must decide this before using the image. You MAY breed to other people's stallions, but only with thier consent. Please post [OPEN TO PUBLIC] next to your stallion. The person with the stallion will not get anything out of this (except one of the twins if the mare produces twins). Payment still comes to me. Occasionally there may be coat patterns never before seen in the equine world... something we are only just now discovering about this breed. ℧ Stallions ℧ (Lines purchased from Anonymous Shrew at deviantart.com) | < Fireman Sabino (Sbsb) Chesnut Stallion I've got to hand it to this guy - he is one heck of a looker and his foals always end up with striking color. | Knightly > Dark Bay Tobiano (Toto) Great stallion we've only just discovered in the bachelor herd. He seems to throw some pretty dark foals. | | | < Smokes Smokey (Crcr) Grulla (Dd) Overo (Oo) With this guy you're bound to get at least one of his pretty genes! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Edited at October 18, 2025 08:54 AM by Galloping Graces

Participating in the "breedable" aspect of my shop is entirely optional! However, if you would like to "build a stable" of your own, please use the first post you post in this forum as your "stable". Here's just an example so you have an idea what I'm talking about: ...................................................... Galloping Grace's Stable ... My Mares: Horse Name | (Extra info) [IMAGE] ...
