| I was taken out for my 13th(?) birthday on one, the bloke who ran the company was completely dodgy (traveller, used to buy whatever he could get his hands on from our local market) but he also had a side business in driving, hearses and displays etc. The gelding that I got was a huge, hogged out Irish thing, went in a dutch gag and a martingale and still had a mouth like concrete. Turns out it was driven through the week and only hunted on weekends. We got to the halfway field, he offered to swap horses to show me that he wasn't too bad, sat on it for all of 5 minutes and sent it back to the lorries. I think it broke a man's back the following week! Needless to say, I don't think he was welcome with that pack in the future |

| River, I'm very tempted to take a hireling out before closing meet this year, as my pony is too much os an asbo to be trusted (and desperately unfit). The only hireling I've ever taken was an utter psychopath, however 🤣 |

I respect that lmao, Woods basically knows his way to the pub and back with no input from me, which is ideal for the way home 🤣 The one thing I wish he was better at was being a sensible hunter, the amount of times he ended up port stained from pissing off with me while I was trying to have my civilised drink at the meet 🫣 |

| Sorry I poofed lol. It really is fun! Minnie loves to drive but she's definitely a "to the pub" pony rather than quick turns etc. I do like driving smaller ones- you can see much more among other things 🤣🤣 |

Id be too big to ride her myself even if shes built like a brick shithouse, but I might see if she'll do a bit with the horsey girls in the village. Im not too fussed to be honest- her main job will be to make Minnie less stressed about Ted going out without her |

| 10.2hh rising 4 so bit bigger than I had in mind but she's just giving good vibes (and shes actually genuinely in budget which is a bloody shock!). Not sure on the evil front but shes a dartmoor hill pony so not had a huge amount of handling yet. She does catch and lead though so she's a bit ahead of where Ted was when he first came. Looks quite an inquisitive type so fingers crossed she suits us 🙈😁 I will be keeping her a secret from Mother this time though |
