People gathered on the side of the streets bowing at Jesper and oohing, and aahing over the pretty young woman who arrived with him.
“Jesper darling, who is this..girl..you have with you?” He hops down off Rylan and walks over to his mother. “Mother, this is Rebecca, the woman I told you about..remember?” His mother raised her eyebrow “I suppose she is pretty isn’t she..” She huffed and walked away towards the castle, the King followed her closely. Jesper turned to Rebecca, bright red in the face “I’m sorry about mother..I-I just-” Rebecca weakly smiled “It’s okay Jesper, I’m used to it”
3 young girls appeared around Dawn with big smiles and many many questions “How old are you?”, “Where are you from?”, “Where’d you get your horse?”, “How are you so pretty?”. Rebecca didn’t have time to answer a single question before another one was thrown in her direction.
“Girls! Let her answer your questions first before asking another one!” Jesper chuckled.
Rebecca answered their questions and enjoyed their company while Jesper went to do some royal duties.
“Are you and our brother going to get married soon?” One asked.
“Brother? Married?!” Rebecca let out a nervous chuckle. “I didn’t realise you were his sisters! And as for marriage..I don’t quite know”.
A man arrived where the ladies were talking “Eh-hem, pardon me m’ladies but the King has requested Miss Rebecca's presence in the Courtyard” He held out his arm so Rebecca could link with her arm and they walked towards the castle.
“So is this like a good summoning or a bad one?” She asked after walking in silence for a while. “The King is..softer than the Queen m’lady, -although don’t mention I said that to you! He has taken a liking to you but I’m afraid I don’t know why he wants to see you right now”
Rebecca begins to panic as she nears the castle. It’s just a dream..or maybe a nightmare, or no, probably a dream right? Evil soon to be mother-in-law must mean it’s a nightmare though.. Either way it can’t be real!. Rebecca shuts her eyes tightly but when she opens them, she is still walking towards the castle.
“Shit” she says panicked. The man looks at her slightly scared. Rebecca goes bright red “Did I say that out loud? I did..didn’t”
They arrived at the courtyard where the king was waiting for her.
Alright, Alright, Alrighty then! Here goes nothing. Keep calm, keep your cool. He’s just a king..A KING!
