It's like an everyday expirience to see a wolf roaming around with a neighborhood child in the town of Nabishagee. The wolves there are like stray dogs, always begging for food, and making friends with the locals. All was normal, until a great earthquake shattered the earth, leaving thousands of people in the town dead, or evacuated to live somewhere safe. The wolves are starting to loose patients as they wait for their beloved town to go back to normal, or for the people to come back for them. But slowly, the wolves train and learn how to survive in the wild, and make the decision to leave the town once and for all to find a new way of living. Without the people to guide their everyday moves. Will they survive, or will they fall down in ruins? Find out as you read more and more of the story! Chapter One: Before The Earthquake Rocky rose to his paws, his eyes still closed as he sat up on his haunches. Finally opening his eyes, he gazed towards Trisha as she began to stir, her eyes fluttering open. "Good Morning, my sunshine.." Rocky mumbled, softly smiling as he licked Trisha's muzzle. "What has you up so early?" Trisha replied, yawning as she stretched. "We have to go greet the neighborhood of course!" Rocky boomed, getting really enegetic suddenly as he pranced a quick circle. "Oh, alright!" Trisha chuckled, trotting to the entrance of their den. The pack still soundly lied around the entrance of Rocky and Trisha's den, not stirring one bit as Rocky and Trisha weaved their way through the sleeping pack. Rocky sprinted through the woods, his paws aching a bit as he smiled and pranced towards the town. The town wasn't far at all, only about half a mile away, which was really easy to get to being wolves and all. "Here we are!" Rocky boomed, skidding to a halt at a back road that lead to the town, "I can see it from here!" He finished, sprinting down the road towards the neighborhood his pack hung around. Trisha sprinted past Rocky, her tail wagging like crazy as she came up to the house with her favorite playmate, a little toddle named Aria. Trisha barked a few times at the door, then backed up, waiting for Aria to come running out. Rocky pricked his ears, an uneasy vibrating from the ground. "Trisha! We need to go! I don't like the feeling of this vibrating..." Rocky barked, his ears back against his head as his gaze frantically bounced around. The tree's leaves began to sway, and branches began to snap as the ground shook more violently. What was going on? Trisha whined, glancing towards Aria's house one more time before sprinting beside Rocky as the made their way back down the road towards the rest of the pack, and their den. Rocky skidded and stumbled as he sprinted on, the ground shaking more violently this time. The two of them were sprinting as fast as they could, when all of the sudden, a tree started to sway, then fell onto the power lines, making a huge spark; then, the power line and tree came crashing down onto the road in front of the two frantic wolves. Rocky yelped in shock as Trisha came to a skidding halt, her gaze frantic and full of worry. "We must get back to the pack!" Trisha whined to Rocky, her tail tucked and her ears back. "We will, don't worry..." Rocky barked, scooting closer to Trisha as she collasped to the ground, winded and frantic with worry. "We must keeping moving, Trisha!" Rocky howled, the tree's leaves beggining to catch on fire and blaze. What was happening? Better yet, why was it happening? Rocky grabbed Trisha's tuff, pulling her into a sewer ditch, and into a small sewer pipe that was safely underground. Trisha yelped in shock, and nuzzled closer to Rocky, scared and stressed. Her pups were with the pack, out of the den and nuzzled into Truffle's side. "What if the pups are hurt? Or what if they're dead?" Trisha whined, shutting her eyes as she trembled and shook. "It'll be alright, I promise..." Rocky woke to a loud siren, and the sight of flashing lights. What is that? Nudging Trisha, he barked a few times, warning the flashing lights to stay away. "W-Where are w-we?" Trisha muttered, her eyes fluttering open. "We're in a sewer, by the road to town. There was a great shaking, and a tree fell on the power things..." Rocky muttered, lying close to Trisha. To Be Continued........ Edited at May 25, 2020 10:09 PM by *-+Bread Crumbs+-*
