So, background on the main characters:
Dark: dark is the new lead stallion, he has a lot to live up to considering his father died saving the herd in his time as lead stallion
Holly: holly is the lead mare of the herd, she had grown up in the herds territory and had been born as one of the first foals of the herd
Pablo: Pablo is an old horse, he used to lead the herd but as he aged, he got more and more sick. He passed the leader role onto darks father who then as said earlier, dies saving the herd
Flame: Flame is a young colt, he is very high strung and loves to run around the beach
Kass: Kass is a young filly, she is the main character in this story and her parents are dark and holly, you will learn more about Cass as you read the story
Lunar: lunar is a guardian stallion, he stays and watches the herd when dark can not
Sahara: sahara is flames dam and she is in charge of rounding up all the herd foals when they go missing
Thunder: thunder is flames sire, he also guards the herd with lunar
Background characters: you may see some random horse names thrown in like "rusty lifted his head and whinnied loudly", these are background characters and mean no more :)
