yeah kids are mean, this is why it's important to educate about the different struggles people have such as "I physically cannot stop doing this and need alternative mechanisms to deal with it, because I want to but my brain literally will not let me"

I've mostly left my hair alone thankfully but I feel you on the lips. It's my scalp as well, and when I was a teenager I went through about a year of pulling the skin off the soles of my feet. Hurt like a bitch to walk sometimes but I was too embarrassed to say anything because how the fuck do you explain that

I have these three pimples on my neck that are popped, I know they're popped, I KNOW that messing with them won't do anything but make them swollen and angry, and I just... Can't stop messing with them. Usually it takes a physical barrier like a band-aid to make me stop lol
