Introduction - The morning air is damp and sticks to Ara's now shuttering body, her breaths fast and hot matching Houstons humid air. It was just creeping past 5am and she was already running, her footsteps echoed on the concrete but wait- How is that possible? There was always one or two cars swooshing past nothing more to see but a gush of lighting fast wind pressing aganist your body or maybe a honk or two.. or seven. She slowed down, something around her made her hairs raise, made them straighten in attention as if they were squaring up while a sergent passed in the miltary. She didnt know it at the time, that very moment that in 12 days her life might just flip into something she wasnt expecting.... |

Chapter One - Ara woke to the sound of her blaring alarm clock next to her on the womens bedside table, she reached her tan arm out from under the lilac colored covers to give it a good deserved smack on the off button as it had woken her from a well needed sleep. She heaved a sigh before fighting to release herself from the covers, after a struggle she finally stood to her feet and walked towards her bathroom. Once inside she brushed her teeth and combed the knots that had embedded themselves in her scalp, she molded her blonde hair into poor excuse of a bun. Ara quickly applied some light makeup for work then changed into some blue jeans and a crème colored blouse, she grabbed her purse that contained her keys, sunglasses, feminine products, and an extra lipstick. She slipped on her tennis shoes and walked out the door, she climbed into her truck and headed to work. Soon the pickup pulled into the packed parking lot, it took awhile before she found a spot for her to park in but she finally found a vacant area in the back of the lot. She checked herself in her review mirror before climbing out and strided towards her work place, she worked in a local clothing store named The Perferct Fit. She opened the door, the bell dinging and her coworkers looked up and smiled at her in greeting yet a few people uttered hello before she reached the Employees Only area. She set her stuff down in her locker before taking her name badge out and the other necessary items required for her work. - It was around 8am when she arrived and by 2pm she was exhausted but pushed through, they closed at five the day had blurred by with customers and other frequent people. She was folding unorganized clothes at around 4:30 when the door dinged with an approaching customer, Ara turned as they were almost closed and wondered who still wanted to shop but when she faced behind her she saw a man who was about 6'2 with black hair and emerald green eyes. Something about the man immediately put her on edge and she froze hoping someone else would help and ring him up. But everyone else was in the back as it was almost time to close, she sighed and walked over to the man and she shifted into her employers voice quickly "Hello, welcome to The Perfect Fit is there anything I could help you with?" Her voice was sweet and high pitched to make it seem she was very interested in every word that would come out of your mouth. The man turned to her and smirked which immediately gave her the shivers "Hello, no just looking" she nodded in almost a robotic motion and walked back to what she was doing, she picked up the jeans she was folding with her back towards the man yet she could hear him navigate around the store with his heavy tread he'd had been gifted with or cursed depends on what you thought. |
