I've had a story in the works for several years. I kept starting in random places and then stopping after a thousand or so words when I realized it wasn't a great place to do that. I think I've finally found the proper beginning and would love to have some members of the HEE community look over and give feedback on what is more or less my first chapter. Note: the color coded parts are to keep track of different edits I made while typing up my hand written first draft.
