Alright so the title says it all. I'm basically just creating a gallery of poems/short stories I've done/will do in here. (The numbers mark a new paragraph/stanza. I've done this because the spaces don't like to behave). Comments are welcome, however, any pieces put in here are finished projects. ----------------------------------------------------- Behind the Shadow of Death 1 Silently through the night it takes a life.
The pain that comes and takes you in a strike.
A cry of hope is lost with just a knife.
The raging fire kills all that are alike. 2 Fear not, dear friend, for you do have a choice.
Run far and help the lives in which you owe.
Open your mouth and use your fearsome voice.
Under the light we look at which we stowe. Empty the liquid from the poison vile.
Now burn all records of the awful thought.
Bid farewell right into its exile. Send it into the place in which you fought.
Goodbye, old thought, you never were the best.
The resolution said lays it to rest. 3 Never let the painful past life lead way.
Just keep on moving as you are today.
The hope is yet a steady arm away.
But closer now than we would all portray.
But closer now we can’t be led astray.
But closer now for it will not betray. |
