so i was really into writing poems at the aged of..11 i think? so this poem has been much loved by my family members for quite some years lol. its about a dog (my grandfathers dog) who is very greedy and very stupid. its a bit of a nonsense poem but i love it XD There once was a dog called peppa Who really did think she was clever For she could get out of the house Not waking a mouse And go where she wanted, wherever! First she went down to the park She stayed there until it got dark She played with the hounds With leaps and bounds And there she had a good lark Then she went up to the Hare (The hare is the village pub) Hoping some food had gone spare She gobbled it down when no one was around And thought -what a marvelous affair! Thinking; surely it would do no harm If I jumped on a horse, and did a lap of the course It would raise not a bit of alarm! So she did just that, with her riding hat The horse was not amused Whats this in my saddle? A dog cannot straddle ! Elvis was rather confused So she trailed back home In her jaws was a bone And she said- I am rather tired! So she settled in bed And rested her head And thought- well, I should be admired

"I can't do this." "Yes you can. You were almost there!" "No. I mean, I won't do this." "What are you talking about?" "It feels wrong. My magic has never been difficult before." "You've never tried to unite the universes before, either."

"That was wrong, do it again." "But I did do it right, madam." "Oh really? Then do it again, but better." Atlas bit his lip, nudging Magik into a beautiful canter and guided him with invisible commands down to the centre line. With the slightest touch with his spurs, the black gelding skipped with every step he took down to the invisible letter A. They trotted back to the instructor, and Atlas' blue eye were filled with hope. The instructor didn't look at him directly, but her cracked lips formed into a smirk. "Better." Magik's name was spelt with a K and not a C on purpose

"You're nothing without him, Joel."
"I know."
"Then save him."
From a one-shot of mine, posted over on WP. I think the first few lines say a lot.

It is between these that the ocean is dark, and things with teeth lurk and hope not to run into things with bigger teeth.

Not sure if it would fit here, but I was wondering if a littl chant-type thing I wrote could be posted in this? Not sure how it is, since I never did something like it, and it's like trying to convince an entity to become your friend and travel companion.

I hope it is. I wrote it early this morning and was trying to rhyme it, so i dont know if its any good. And its for a fantasy book I'm writing, so yeah... Wings of wind and fangs of fire; With these things you will soar higher. Body of earth and mind of water; Through hard times we shall not falter. Tail of iron and claws of steel; Come to me and seal the deal. Forest as home, as sea and sky; deep underground is where you lie. Greatest of all, strength unmatched; come to me, our fates attached. North and south, east and west; I summon thee now, manifest.

Delta could feel her stomach wanting to throw up, she just did the unthinkable. She has her Foal, Mate, and life and she throws it away. For what? A hit a run stud? What if he finds out? What if she really is pregnant with a baby that isn't her mates. What if he takes her child away from her. As she looks into the large black studs golden hues, she simply replied. "My life is like a airplane, you watch it soar and you admire it. Than it crash's and throws everything away that it had. And it's now nothing, nothing" she gasps. "It works so hard but it's engine fails and that mistake can't be fixed. It's already done, whoever is aboard goes down with it and they never come back..!"
