Versailles said: Out of sheer curiosity... What makes QHs so enticing to people? :) I've never been a huge fan of their build and have heard that they aren't typically the comfiest to ride, so what's the big draw? Genuinely mean no harm, I'm just wondering lol
I haven't been around a ton of quarter horses, and I've noticed they seem to be very 'prone' to hoof issues (navicular) - maybe due to their build? However, I have noticed that they all seem to have a very easygoing and quiet temperament, which I know attracts many people to the breed. They are typically easy on the trails in comparison to many of the warmbloods/thoroughbreds at my barn, and seem to make nice lower level english horses. I've only been around hunter/jumper quarter horsers rather than hotter barrel horses so fair warning I could be wrong on this :)
