I do it occasionally, but the large majority of my horses are patterened & therefore changing their mane/tail changes it to a weird gray color. In my opinion, the gray looks bad on every horse, it stands out too much & clashes with the white patterns. So, personally, I rarely use the groom & only use it for horses with no white in their manes.

Actually it's more like, I forget there is a groom and then I want to use it but too expensive and then I use it for my really good show horses so then it's a sometimes but really almost neved use groom.

I pretty much only use it on my well rated horses. It's my way of quickly visually seeing if they are a well rated horse.

Sometimes. . I love the concept of custom manes and tails. I wouldn't be likely to do it for every horse, because like others have said, it would get expensive. But I do enjoy customizing my best horses in a way that doesn't need regular upkeep like tack does. . My biggest issue with the custom manes and tails has always been lack of colorways and pattern matching. Sometimes a naturally white mane will trick me into thinking the horse is silver when a custom mane is applied because it’s so grey. Appaloosa tails that are normally the base color or bicolored suddenly turn white, and just don’t look right when they don’t match the mane. Sometimes you can’t mix and match manes and tails with one custom and the other natural because they won’t be the same shade (flaxen, for example). And I am a bit of a stickler for realism, which overall this game does incredibly well, so when the white patterns don’t align with the white parts of a bicolored mane and tail, it totally throws me off. So sometimes I *want* to customize a horse’s mane and tail, but I find myself lacking good options to do so, and leave it natural instead. . The solution that would solve all of these problems would be to have the art team painstakingly go through every color and pattern for each custom mane and tail, for each breed, and correct it to the same shade or pattern seen on the natural option. For as much as I’d love to see that, I understand that it would take up a lot of time and resources. But that’s the only way I can see white patterns perfectly matching up. I would love to see more mane and tail options in the future, and have some ideas to suggest, but until they consistently match up with the coat colors and patterns, I will still only use them ‘sometimes’.

I only use it if it's one of my favorite horses and I have some spending money, (or if it's a quest), but to use it a lot is just so expensive!

I sometimes will change my main breeding horse manes, but that's usually a one time thing, and then I ignore her the rest of the time

I used it once and then never again then proceeded to completely forget about it xD
I think I'd use it more if there were more options and if the art style matched better with the breeds. I feel like on most coats the differences in art style are too obvious and it just looks weird. I also agree with a lot of what Kaldwin said and that they'd look better if their colors matched up better, especially on horses with bicolor manes, but I understand that might be very difficult to do when there's so many different color combos.

I just kind of like the original art in a lot of cases.

I only use it for my W rated horses or maybe EEE studs, otherwise it's too expensive and there's not enough variations of manes and tails for me

I pretty much don't use the groom, as I prefer the original art. I would use the "long" mane and tail but I feel like they just don't ever look right! Regardless of color. The Rosette braids for the mane are pretty. I don't care for the other options.
