I know a few people looking for english saddles currently (myself included), and was wondering what everyone's favorite brand is! I would also love to hear opinions on best fit for a variety of horses, most comfortable for the rider, etc. I tried to remember as many brands as I could, I apologize if I missed any! I'm a BIG fan of Luc Childeric and Butet. Very classic and close contact. Maybe a little old-fashioned, but I think there's something to be said for that. Prestige and Schleese are also very good saddles, with an emphasis on fitting the horse, and I prefer the wool flocking for that purpose. They're also adjustable, which is another bonus to keep in mind. Editing to add: I am currently selling my CWD, as it no longer fits my mare, and though I would avoid buying new from that company at all costs, they do have nice saddles. Just make sure you buy used and talk to a saddle fitter. They also do not have great resale value because SO many are on the market. Also editing to add: Arion is an up-and-coming brand that seems to have very nice saddles. |

Thank you!! I'm currently thinking of looking at used CWDs with pro panels because I love my trainers and it fits a wide variety of horses. However, I am a little put off by the number of saddles being resold, as you mentioned. Another rider at my barn has a Schleese for her TB who has very wide shoulders and it fits him very nicely. |

I love pessoa saddles, super comfortable, and though they are quite expensive, they are nice. They also have both foam and flocked pannels based on your prefernce :D |

My favorite English saddle brand is collegent convertant. It was my first English saddle and it's comfortable for the horse and rider, it also has a interchangeable tree. |

I have a Stackhouse, and I absolutely adore it! It's so comfortable. |
