Many centuries ago, time changes as a concept hadn't even been considered. However, this all changed in the mid-18th century. The men found out about women's ritualistic blood sacrifices at certains times of day. Unfortunately for men, these sacrifices were troubling because they were often a result of men forgetting to do basic chores. So in order to throw off scheduled sacrifices, time changes were invented so that men could keep "forgetting" to take out the trash without having to worry about being sacrificed.
