It could be done like under the "breeding" view in barns where there is a little eye icon infront of the name you can click on to see them

That's definitely something worth putting in the suggestions forum.

It would make searching for Appy coats (or any other pattern) so much easier.

Excellent suggestion, Munn

When looking thru the LBs, I wish there was a way to 'see' each horse, without having to actually click on them.
Like, just hold the cursor over them.

I struggle sometimes and I have lived here all my life. It has seriously cut down on the time I can go out and work Whiskey though. I will not work him if it’s over 95 and 60% humidity. That is when he gives me signals of being uncomfy

Central America should be fun, but super hot!

I have no clue how you guys do it. 30 above isn't exactly new but I can't remember the last time we had humidity. We could go over a month without rain

The clinic went pretty well! There were some huge pivots that we aren't necessarily super familiar practicing with, like 540°s, etc! We held up pretty well with everyone considering we have only been a team for about 6 months.

I had a super awesome lesson today, I'm feeling super confident about our show this weekend. :)
I'll hopefully be able to keep this somewhat updated! It's supposed to be packed, with over 450 stalls sold! It's only my 3rd "real" show with my new team, after last season was mainly canceled due to covid, so I'm excited to see how things go!

We made it to the show safely! He warmed up soooo soooo good, but our trail class didn't go great 🤦‍♀️it was an hour wait line, so he was already super annoyed, so doing his least favorite class really put him over the edge. it turned into a big schooling experience though, so no complaints. excited for rail classes tomorrow!

1st in hunt seat out of a superrr deep/competitive class! Lots of people who show at worlds/congress here, so the class sizes/competition is pretty good! A solid 5th in the eq, which i'm fine with considering the class sizes! Western tomorrow, and then a several hour drive back home.

Heading to another show this weekend! I've gotten some questions pmed in regards to some of the disciplines I do (such as trail) and what I do to prep for shows, so i'll try and go over it a little bit in this!
-
Tim is on a 5-6 day work scedule. He gets turned out daily, so is a super happy/healthy dude.
This is what a normal week would look like for us:
Monday- Flat
Tuesday- 1 hour lesson
Wednesday- Trail work! Lots of poles/lope overs
Thursday- off day
Friday- flat + showmanship
Saturday- flat + trail work (usually one of our hardest workouts)
Sunday- off day
-
Iodine soaks
One downside to him is that his feet definitely aren't the best. He throws shoes left and right (currently on a 5+ week streak of throwing them) which has resulted in the spots where the nails go in for the shoe, to become to large, which makes throwing shoes even easier 🤦‍♀️ We made the big decision to take his shoes of for the first time in his life for about 2 months over the winter, and they just got thrown back on about 2 weeks ago. For those of you with similar issues, Tim gets iodine baths for his feet 1-2 times a week per farriers instruction. Iodine on their hooves seriously does work wonders!
-
Trail
This was probably the most asked questions! Lost of people told me that trail wasn't common in their area, and they wanted to get into it. I'd love to eventually put something out to help people learn, so look out for it in the future.

Yeah, I've honestly gotten so used to it, I get the weirdest looks when I tell people his name, his own farrier and vet make fun of it LMAO. Not to mention when I talk about him in public and strangers think i'm talking about a human, not a horse, that's its own struggle 🤣

Lol that sounds like me. My 17+ hand black AQHA's name is Steve. my family, trainers, vets and ferrier make fun of his name too. I reciently sent him to a trainer to get some finishing touches and the trainer's name is - wait for it - Steve. When I dropped my horse off he was being rude so I yelled "Steven!" and the trainer looked at me all funny and I was like "Sorry I was talking to the horse." Low key think my trainer still calls my big black boy a girl because he showed up in a pink halter and pink and purple blanket
Also if you ever do a post to help people with trail, hit me up. Me and my paint do trail almost every day

You gotta love the horses with human names LMAO. And I definitely will! I'm heading to a show this weekend, so it might not be for a while, but i'm going to try and get around to it eventually
