Basically - no the order shouldn’t affect the foal, but there is superstition around it

How Are you guys getting around having to many mares to breed? Do you just breed them all or brood them out? I have severin promising or proven mare, but does the order of breeding have en effect on the outcome?

I've been feeding this company for 2 yrs, I'm friends with someone who works in their research devision and no one has had anything but good things to say about BB Feeds. Every single bag is the same every time, they never change any of their ingredients. It's also made in an ionohore free facility.

Aw man - wish this was available near me. I'm only so-so on the seaweed but the rest of the ingredient list intrigues me, I would have totally tried my horse on this!

Do you mean the supplement?

No, sorry - I was actually referring to the Intensify Senior Therapy grain. Looks like a really decent product, I would have loved to try it on my horse.

Myself I use the intensify total advantage and mare does amazing on it. Maybe you can talk to your local feed store and see if they would start carrying it.

I know this thread is old now, but I just wanted to say that beet pulp when fed along with alfalfa. Beet pulp provides a great amount of fiber, which helps gut health and allows the horse to get more out of the rest of their feed. However, it's low in protein, which horses that need to put on weight really need. So, I always do them together if a horse needs to gain weight. Alfalfa will give you that protein boost. I also like to add oil for extra calories. I do like senior feed as well, but just know that senior feeds are complete feeds and I have found that if you only feed it as a "supplement", it doesn't add weight like I want it to. I have to feed it as the complete feed it is and then the horses really bloom.
