Could be a J....The letter on my boy was hard. I was lucky though and working at a race track at the time and had the track identifier read it for me. :/ Thats my boy...A33805

To me, it looks like I would call him bay rather than dark bay.

See if you can get a buddy to take pics and do the lip flip 2 handed like that so it stretches out more? That's what the identifier had me do when I was trying to get pics.

Yea I agree Ven. You are lucky PUP! I wish I had someone from a track that could help. If I can get someone out there with me, I will. I'm generally out there alone so it was a feat just getting these photos haha. Edited at July 13, 2018 06:39 PM by Abstract Dunes

If I still knew the identifier out at the track by me I'd just take them out there and see what he said. :/ I haven't worked out there in years though.

When I first looked at the tattoo I also thought 2522. What comes up is:
* L22522 - 2008 Bay Gelding - No white markings. Median cowlick above eye level. Out of KY. He'd be... 12 Y/O.
* K02522 - 2007 Dark Bay/Brown Gelding - No white markings. Double diagonal cowlick at top of eye level, left is higher. Out of KY. He'd be 11 Y/O but I don't think he has a double diagonal cowlick.
* I22522 - 2005 Dark Bay/Brown Gelding - No white markings. Cowlick slightly to right at eye level. Out of CA. He'd be 13 Y/O.
That's it for those last 4 digits.

Do you have the ability to search the appendix registry? Just out of curiosity?

No, I'd have to sign up for a membership which is $45.
