So Roley is going to another clinic with the same mare I used earlier this year...back in April, I believe it was...and her name is Bobbi. She did very excellent at the clinic before but I have not had the time (due to work, school starting, my mother going back into the hospital, and other things) to work with her after that.

Like you said I would definitely work on groundwork with her getting her to go all 3 paces at the lunge both directions with lots of direction changes. Then once mounted I have found for younger green horses doing 1000 circles and patterns really keeps them fresh and works on their steering and consistency. I literally just looked at Pinterest for ideas of patterns and drills and there were plenty to choose from. I would just be sure to make her mind and if she tries to kick out/pull any funny business get after her and make her trot really small circles and work really hard. Then when she does well let her stretch out and love on her some.
