I've been looking but my only decent one I've found was a yearling for 5k in Oregon but I live in Wisconsin and would have to pay transport. Problem is I'm very into western trail, western pleasure, and ranch riding or rail. I want something papered and the market sucks. Either spend 10k on training overtime for the young ones, 10-15k for started one's or 20-50k for finished horses it's insanity

I have a show in two days, my quarter horse basically skinned a large chunk of his beautiful blaze. Any tips on covering that up a bit so he looks cuter in the show ring? I've heard of baby powder. I don't have time to get the coat spray stuff. Thank you, anything helps!!

Oh yikes!
zippy doesn't have any facial markings and tends to avoid injury so i unfortunately don't have any advice to give, but I'm glad it's nothing more serious. I wish you luck in finding something to help!

Thank you, the bugs are so terrible the horses are itching on everything, and unfortunately some of those things aren't their best decisions

For future reference I'm not sure if you use a fly mask but especially the ones with ears are lifesavers. I hate pulling bugs out of Zippy's ears

Baby powder might be worth a shot, or they have chalk for white markings. I'm not sure how well that would work on his face- it's usually for leg markings- but I'd try it before the show just to make sure.
If not, then just show the judge that you can outride everybody else, regardless of your horse's face xD

Do you have a Tractor supply by you? I'd recommend using this Alu shield (It works, I use it on my mares) and then covering with white powder.
This way the powder won't get into the cut and irritate it even more.
The Alu shield comes out silver, but it it's easy to cover up, cleans the cut, helps wounds heal, and acts as a liquid bandage.

This is how it looks. It can come off with warm, soapy water.

Ive covered up the scars on my horses legs with baby diaper cream, but I'm not sure how well it would work on the face. You could also put a thin layer of desitin on the cover it with baby powder

They usually wear fly masks but I was gone for the weekend, and we remove big garb to reduce injuries, lol.
