I show even my EEE, WEE and WWE boys gelded, in SD. I also dont show my AD breeding stock though and I know alot of people do

I've noticed the same too Willow, yeah--I still have them training AD but just primarily put them in their best discipline. SD is certainly easier to maximize though as Athena mentioned
Gaelic Gladiacres
02:43:44 Gladius
although I suppose there's no harm really since they're not breeding stock, unless you want to compete eventing/AD

A lot of them are EEE, but I noticed some do better in a certain discipline, even while in AD

I personally prefer SD over AD. It is simpler for me personally and therefore makes me the most income as I understand it better

Big Eq rider here.
I think you're doing too much of your own movement when the horse jumps; you're thinking too much about going into your jumping position rather than just letting your mount jump you into it. Highly suggest working on strengthening your lower leg and core, and using body control to hold yourself up, rather than having a low two-point that doesn't support your own weight. If the foundation of your riding is strengthened, your position will become much stronger and very invincible in terms of safety on the takeoff and landing [I ride green horses all the time, and I can't tell you the number of times a good position has saved me from refusals/bucking/bolting on the takeoff and landing ;)]

This is exactly what I had thought. You are over jumping.

Absolutely, any time! Do you ride hunters/eq, or do you do jumpers/eventing? Obviously strengthening your position is good for any of those, but the degree to which you need to fine-tune your position varies based on each discipline :) My personal horse is a green TB who formerly evented and I've turned him into a hunter/eq horse, but I used to event and showjump too so I've been through all the disciplines lol.

Also a Big Eq Rider XD
I agree with everything Ascent said. You ahead of the horse's movement over the jumps. My guess from the photos is that you throw your shoulders a bit, so practice keeping your shoulder back while also releasing with your hand. Lastly, make sure you strengthen your core and leg muscles it will help you keep your position in the air ;)
I also ride a bunch of green horses (and naughty horses XD) and a good position definitely helps stay on

Yeah! So, not only will strengthening your position make your horse happier and make it feel smoother to you, but it will improve your balance in technical showjumping courses and save your butt to a wacky distance on XC. Not only this, but it'll strengthen your flatwork too, making your dressage more seamless. Overall a huge win :D
