He's a borzoi. I have his mom too, she is 11 years old and had her crazy zoomies times when she was younger, but she was always pretty level headed. Matrix is going to be 8 in September yet still behaves like a pup most of the time. My first zoi was his grand-aunt, who also got pretty serious as soon as she turned 3, but she could get up to some mischief every now and then

Awwww bless him, he's just trying to enrich their lives xD What breed is he? Patterdales are known for being super clever, which is definitely the case with Norm. Paddy must have been stuck in the birth canal for a while I think bless him. He does have his moments but getting stuck somewhere with a little blank stare is his trademark

I am very familiar with the 2 braincells thing! I was always wondering why people claim my breed is stupid while I had only girls. they are very smart, downright cunning. Now I have one male and he's the biggest himbo. In fall he keeps carrying around hedgehogs he finds in the yard, like some sort of world's shittiest rollercoaster!

Norm did help me herd 60ish ram lambs every day for a while though so he does have his talents. Actual herding isn't particularly one of them but he tried his best and didn't bite or chase anything so I was happy xD
Minerva

Haha I wish- they're utterly useless xD I was hoping Norm would show an interest in ratting so I could use him on the farm I worked at and in my own paddock, but he wouldn't say boo to a goose. In fairness he did grow up with a hamster so it's sort of understandable. Paddy's a little bit more "kill-y" but he's got 2 functioning braincells on a good day so unless something is presented to him he's useless haha

I'd bosh out the 3 and skip the 20 San lol. At least you know it'll definitely only take 3 goes now

So my mares ears have been really dry, and itchy. I don't want her to cut her face open itching, especially with it being show season. She has allergy issues so I have to be careful with what's used on her. I just put on aloe, so I'm hoping that it helps her and gives her some itch relief, but does anyone have any remedies just in case the aloe doesn't work? I have also been considering trying to use coconut oil on her to see if that helps. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

You'd be better off and so would your mare, if you asked a Vet.

No, the vet approved that she has a small autoimmune disorder from her old owner using bug spray that wasn't horse safe

I've had a vet out for her allergy issues multiple times, but it's not that bad, I just want to see if anyone has any remedies, she usually gets dry skin around this time, I just want to see if anyone has any cremes or something that help
The vet just said to give her dexamethasone for these flare ups. I have it on hand, and am using it, but I just want to see if anyone has any good products that can remoisten the skin.

I really hope aloe works for your mare! My gelding had dry skin all the time - I used aloe and it worked like a charm. On his worse spots that were almost raw, I used Musher's Paw (it is a paw wax for dogs).

Ok, thank you! That makes me feel better to know that aloe worked on your gelding, I'm really hoping it works on Winnie!

My horse doesn't tend to get dry ears, but a friend's gelding did, she used this and it worked like a charm, although I do like the idea of Aloe a lot

Ok, thank you! If I don't see an improvement with aloe in the next few days, I'll order that! :D
