Here is a compiled list of things that I've been attacked for using on horses, or opinions about things I've been told are wrong and because of that, I'm a a bad horseman
-half pads -using polos/boots -the fact I can't get a saddle custom fitted for a horse as I don't own one and have to use my own saddle -dressage -horse on bit -trimming manes and tails to be straight -flashes -nosebands -snaffle bits -English riding in general -horse frothing at mouth -breastplates -using electrical tape to secure polos -gloves -lateral movements
If asked, I will explain the circumstances behind these

Wow, didnt know we had so may horse experts in one place.
Im English so English riding is my life and I dont see how its any more cruel than throwing horses round a barrel or making it chase after dangerous cattle (not that Im against either as they can be alright when done correctly)
I also must insist that you apologise for not having s spare £300 lying around to pay for a custom for saddle for someone elses horse XD

LOL things I've been attacked for (I'm a reiner, ranch rider, barrel racer, etc)
being "mean" to a horse for disciplining him when he lunged at me with open mouth, teeth bared, etc
making my horses work until they're actually sweating
Using a Noavel
Being sarcastic when stupid questions are asked (ie is that your dog? when dog is clearly mine; my answer- No it's the next door neighbor's- got cursed out for this answer)
Not feeding my horses in a barn (O.0) seriously people

I've been attacked about my height of all things according to some people riding when your 6'2 and a 170 pounds is abuse on the horse theres a reason I own a bigger horse then normal people.. |

XDDDD That is the most idiotic reason I've ever heard of!! You're tiny compared to a lot of the people out there that ride. I consider riding a pony (10 hands or less) on a regular basis when you're 5'9 and 150 lbs. Come on, people!! |
