Very much Aussie! barely in the saddle as of now when she's starting to buck, no pressure on anything but the saddle, we work in paddock and arena but she's doing it in both aswell Morning Glory Farms said: Judging off of calling Alfalfa Lucerine Im going to guess theyre aussie, so EPM is immediatly off the table they dont have it down there. When shes bucking is it just in the arena when your working or what are you doing when she triggers? That also plays a big factor into what it could be

I know of a young mare who gets wild when she's regularly fed alfalfa/lucerne, she will buck, race off and be generally unpleasant to ride. There are other anecdotal stories of horseowners who cannot feed their horses lucerne because of behavioral changes. But please discuss this with your vet, they can give better advice because they can see your horse. Edit: I am located in western Europe, as are the stories. I don't know if there a difference is between our lucerne and your lucerne. Edited at October 10, 2025 04:22 PM by Horizons stable
