I thought it would be fun to start this thread!
Basically, you can post a pic of YOURSELF riding (or a barn friend IF you get permission to do so) and other people will give constructive criticism on your equitation, telling you what they like, what you're doing well, and what you could fix! So, anyone can start! I may post some pics too :) |

My profile pic is of me riding a Quarter Horse mare named Valentine. It was my first, or second time riding her, and about my 5th-10th (somewhere in there) time riding a horse in general. |

You look pretty good for not riding a horse very many times, however I would say (please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't ride western!) That you might need to relax your hand that's holding the reins. You have it placed right next to your body, I believe it should be extended a little more. The horses head isn't as relaxed as it should be since you're giving very little slack with the reins, so maybe loosen them a bit. Good job :) |
