I feel like I pay anywhere from 100-200k for a brood. But when I list a mare of equal value there are no takers

But even looking at the brood/straw sign ups they are not super busy. Only a hand full of stables on each thread if that

Yup. RIDs are weird. I almost never get my top mares snagged so I breed them myself LOL

I was so chuffed to snag Wildside, I know he's kinda fallen to the wayside in general but he's done me good.

It really is. For all breeding LB actually. Can't even get a mare to embryo or brood out for a reasonable price

I get it but also unfortunate since LB boys don't even sell anymore, and I used to swoop them up in the blink of an eye but now the market is ass lol

Because color has become more prominent on the LBs and people go for that rather than the plain looking mediocre ones, Capps :(

Welp I thought this would be funny to share so here we go,
So I went on a vacation for 5 days far enough away from home where I didn't ride my horse, Gunner for about 5 days. So I got home on the 3rd and rode him on the 4th for the first time in 5 days, I expected him to be a little fresh, but rather than that he felt to stiff and unwilling to move forward or properly bend or move in general (I do english diciplines so in this case we were practicing dressage and jump stuff), so after I felt this I immediatly hopped off and double check him for any injuries or anything odd, nothing except from what it looked like slight tension in his neck, so it moved my saddle a bit stretched him out a little and then took him out hacking in a cross country fields with jumps, he was feeling a little better so I ended up cantering him a little, he still wasn't willing to bend and any dressage things but he pretty bent on jumping (though I wasn't letting him jump), weird right? Anyways I hopped off after that and it was the same behaviour for about 5-6 days, I was also massaging and trying to help get the tension out of his neck because that's what I thought the problem was, until I asked one of my barn friends to hop on him and see what was up (this friend is an ex-3* (1.15-1.35meter) eventer, rider so they know what they're doing) and he hopped on and was like oh yeah something is wrong this isn't how he normally acts, so he rode him around a little and finally after making Gunner realise he was going to have to work he 'snapped' out of playing with us and went back to his normal self, he was in no pain, just making me look like a complete fool, I hopped back on and poof, he was completing willing to do what I asked as soon as he realised I wouldn't play his games anymore, tsk tsk, he is just too smart...
