I would not over oil.. you can clean it a couple times with saddle soap, etc.. if it is really dirty.. and you can condition it quite a bit let it soak in.. and condition again.... but you can over oil.

I hope it helps.. I have cleaned LOOOOOOTS of tack and use to work at a saddle shop and was the one who would clean up used saddles and tack for resale. I learned alot. |

Depends on the leather itself, if the colour of the leather is spotty, the Neadsfoot oil will make the darker spots even darker. |

Do you think it would make the saddle spotty? I guess it's kind of patchy, would the oil make it worse? |

some spots may never come completely out.. I always put it on the rag first and I work from the lighter areas to the darker to try to even it out. |
