Terry had a walk/trot lunge and a little bit of groundwork yesterday. She was very attentive and smart. She's learning to carry herself well without help when lunging, which is awesome. She's finally sitting on her butt and learning to relax, and she responds when I ask her to raise her shoulder and stop leaning. Her response time for walk, halt, back, turn haunches, and turn forehand is very quick, no matter the order, which I'm quite proud of. Terry seems to like having a job to keep things interesting, and as she gets better at the stuff she knows, I see a brighter and brighter future for her.
Anyways, the babies are doing great. All three of them are very friendly and I can walk right up to Loki and Leto. I've been taking care of them at lunch time as well as giving Dixie her grain and loves. I haven't been caring for Lona, but I do see her through the fence, and she'll come right up to me to sniff around. They're all getting bigger, stronger, and cuter by the day. And let me tell ya, Loki likes to eat 👀

Yesterday I gave Tiny a full body clip, besides his head. Today he got a bath, as well as Terry and Rosco. This was Rosco's first ever time being introduced to water/the hose, so he was a little fidgety, but overall really well behaved. He stood perfectly still at the end rinse.
Within the next few weeks I'll bathe Dixie too, but as of right now the forecast has a lot of rain and cooler nights. She's really sensitive to cold as it is so I can't have her wet on a cool night. |

I actually thought of your little guy first when the name was suggested lol. Alrighty guys, no new picture updates yet. As you could imagine, it's a bit difficult to take pictures while hand-bucket feeding Leto and Loki milk, keeping Lona away so she doesn't steal the milk from them, keeping Tiara away so she doesn't fight with Dixie over grain, and avoiding Lexi death kicking at me and Dixie because we're "too close to Loki", which means trying to keep THREE PISSY BABY MAMAS from ripping each others' heads off on top of me, all at once. I need all of my limbs to be in work. thank you Dixie for being my shield and weapon today If you couldn't tell, that^^ means that all three pairs are staying in the same pasture together now. Dixie and Tiara get along great when grain isn't involved, but Lexi is just being an asshat. Anyhow, Leto is super cuddly and silly. I love her. Very glad that Dixie loves and trusts me, 'cause I can actually go up and hang with them, snuggle them, and walk around the pasture at liberty with them. Have a good time! Unlike Lexi with Loki, where I can't even get within a few yards without her pacing and pinning her ears at me >.> .... that mare is a fucking bitch I hate her. What? I didn't say anything... In other news, I forgot to tell ya! Daisy and Hero (who are both getting huge and thicc, by the way) have left to a new home together! Right now it's said that their new owner is going to work with them and see which she'd prefer to keep as a gaming prospect, but everyone is almost certain that she's going to end up keeping both lol. |
