I may not be of much help as I have a good memory and don't have a problem remembering courses, but when I started learning courses I always had to think to myself, "Ok, what jump LOOKS like it would come next? What makes sense?" because thinking of what makes sense always helped me. It was all a matter of spacial relations and process of elimination that helped me at first. |

No problem;) I know how it feels.
I have only ever done simple Hunter courses when I was little, but even once around-twice around's confused me haha!
Now days I do mounted drill team. Basically synchronised swimming that lasts for anywhere from 4-8 minutes, going really fast (galloping), holding HUGE flags, on horses LOL.
Those routines are insanely nerve-wracking to remember at shows.
So yeah. I for sure know how you feel.
But as Jello said, ANY routine you have to do (Horse related or not) walk it on foot first. It does wonders:)

This is my very embarrassing way: get model horses, make the jump course, and just sit on my floor for hours having the model horse going over the jumps. xD It might sound stupid, but it really works. |
