There's some smaller ones within like 200 miles of me, but no one really goes to them because the Big 4 (The Horse Heaven Roundup, Walla Walla Frontier Days, Lewiston Roundeup and the Pendleton Roundup,) attract so many people. I have recently gotten interest in roping and barrels and stuff like that, though I've been having to teach Sophie how to rope, but thankfully not run barrels because the guy who trained her also trains barrel horses, so

We have so many rodeos. So many. All year long. I have nothing against them, I started on barrels. I just, ended up discovering I really did not like it. How I ended up slowing down makes no sense to me, but I love and am passionate about what I do now.

There is also associations that have their own circuit but limited number of shows.
Like the link I just shared? 5 shows a year lol. The dressage association is about the same where the other circuit will have 7-8 shows and your horse can really be shown off for all its training. I prefer those circuits.

We mainly have western circuts, and the only rodeo stuff we have near me that we can do is like Barrel Club and then stuff you do on your own, but that's because my surrounding rodeos are the Big 4.

We have maybe 2 circuits that have English and Western events, the rest is rodeo. English is really hard to find and it is also something that is hard to find someone who teaches it safely.

We have some big pleasure shows that attract a lot of people from out of state, but we really only have clinics and schooling shows for really any English disciplines.

I am sorry it is a pet peeve, and I am sorry I struck it, but I am going to stick with what people call it in my area since that makes sense to the people who are around me. And I am also not one who cares about wording either. I am not doing it professionally nor do I plan on competing outside my area. Local only. With that, I am dropping it.

we do not really have a huge thing for English though. Most of our barns are rodeo or western. Northwest Arkansas and Central Arkansas are where you will find most of the jumping. Everyone else does flat classes.

But you don't do hunter jumper.
Yes it's encompassing.
But that's like saying I do cross country when that's not a thing. You can do cross country schooling but usually with a purpose like for eventing.

It's a total pet peeve.

This is my girl, Sophie, in her ranch tack. It is actually working tack. I tried to get pictures of her in English and then playing polo from my phone but it will not work, so.

I am not sure why. All the shows label it as such, everyone calls it as such, so that is what I am used to calling it. There’s even this that calls it that calls it that too. And that is our official Association for it.

I was putting horses into shows this evening. And as I was putting the "green" show dates horses showing. It said riders needed to be paid. But all riders were already paid, nobody needed money. And on another horse I got a message saying rider was retired, and it was a level 8.
-
I was able to put the horses on other riders and show them. But I don't know why these 3 riders were having issues.

I think that riders retire at a certain age (like junior riders are teenagers, there are "senior" riders who retire). Not sure what age, but that could be your problem.

Rider's that retire due to age do so at the start of the month and are promptly deleted from the game.

I have had a rider retire in their teens or early twenties. It happens when they level out, nothing to do with age.

Riders will retire under two conditions: when they reach level 10, which can happen at any age, or when they reach age 65 which happens at the first of the month.

My rider retired at level 8 in their 40s on the 9th day of the month. I think it was just a glitch.
-
And the other 2 riders with issues. I simply could not pay them. Even though they said they needed to be paid, on the horses page. And they had been paid the day before, it said so on the riders page.

I had a horse that I had taken off of a rider last week. I usually train SD to week 6, any way I took him off a week to soon last week. I put a rider on him today, realizing my mistake. The rider is paid, but I can't train him. He doesnt show up on the train list. Help please, this is the boy I'm having trouble with.
