I have been making palettes for a while and have never had this problem. About a week or so back, part of the palette coding (that had been working perfectly fine for months) decided not to work.
The problem areas are the border (which i have made a bright colour so you can see better) and the font.

but it does not work on these, I don't know what to call them, alert majigabobs:

I don't know why this is, as the code that controlls them is the same but it has been happenning on every single palette that I have made, the coding of some, I haven't changed in months.
