I keep getting a message that says "Oops! You need more Hay Bales to feed your Stalled Horses. You can buy more in the store." Even though going to the Manage Hay screen shows I have a massive surplus, and I went and bought a couple of round bales just in case.

You have a surplus of round bales or hay bales? For barn horses you need hay bales, for pasture horses you need round bales.

I've actually been getting this same thing. Last week it said I didn't have enough round bales, this week it said I didn't have enough regular/square bales, regardless of how many in surplus I had. The only fix I've found is to buy way over the "surplus" amount, and keep repeating until they feed.

Side note- after feeding this week, it still shows that I have a surplus. This tells me that I had around double what I would've actually needed, before they fed. If this information helps at all.

This has happened to me before. My barn is small enough that I can just buy a lot of extra hay, but it would be incredibly annoying if I had a larger barn.

I am still having this problem. I will have a surplus of square bales but the game will not let me feed until I have double the estimated amount, instead of just a surplus. Is there a reason this is happening?

EDIT: Looking closer, the store says I actively have a surplus, when in my inventory I have basically no square bales. Seems something may not be adding properly?

This is still happening for me as well. I have a surplus of over 2,000 square bales and almost 200 round bales, but I'm still getting the 'Oops! You need more hay!' message.
