I went to breed my new mare however it did not let me and had a pop up saying: Oops! This mare is being used for embryo transfer. However, it says nothing on her profile about embryos pulled. I posted in Member Help questioning why it wasn't showing as I thought it was a new feature, turns out it may be a bug so thought I'd post here. Bit bummed as I thought she was unbred lol... anywhooo Link to mare

I had this problem yesterday when I tried to use a public stud. It was on multiple mares that I owned the whole time so I knew that they had not been bred this year and happened right after I pulled embryos from other mares. One of the embryos used a straw from that stud. I tried a different mare on one of my stallions and it went through. Then the mare I had trouble with was able to breed a different stud. |

In coding when you add a script to track an event it can't track anything that happened before the tracker existed. It's like when a site adds "account created on", anyone who joined before that has either "Dec 31, 1969" (the generic placeholder for an unknown date) or whatever the coder inserted to be the placeholder (like "a long time ago" or "in time immemorial"). So this entry on mares will only pick up ones who had embryos pulled AFTER the new feature was written. That means it will be perfectly accurate starting first of the month, since all mares' embryo counts will reset at rollover. |
